Bridgehead — Restaurant in Ottawa

I have been trying to patronize this location for the past year as it was my favourite coffee shop in Old Ottawa South but their Wifi has become so outrageously bad it takes me 10 minutes to finish loading a single page. No exaggeration. I wrote to Bridgehead twice in the past 8 months begging them to improve it and nothing has changed so I've officially given up and will stop wasting my money sitting down with a coffee just to have to get up and leave five minutes later since I can't get any work done. Highly frustrating and disappointing. It makes me feel like they keep it poor on purpose because they don't want people coming there to work, which does not feel very welcoming. I'm a fan of flavoured coffee, which this place doesn't provide, but I think it rates a 5 because its non-flavoured coffee tastes great, the WiFi access is now simpler than before, music & atmosphere is relaxed, and best of all, it is the only chain cafe that patronized that doesn't push wasteful disposable cups/plates/utensils. This is exceedingly rare. Even when the staff at other places intend to cater to one's request to avoid paper products, they tend to go into autopilot within seconds and end up giving you paper products (then throwing them out to give you ceramic). Chris makes the best flat whites — his signature teardrop latte art is always a nice touch! He consistently provides some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. Not only is he friendly and funny, but he’s also incredibly efficient and attentive. If you’re looking for a great latte and exceptional service, definitely stop by in the morning to see Chris at this location.
