There was hair in the food. The lemon that we were given was already squeezed one and we showed it to the girl right away. The restaurant was so busy and there were only 2 girls. Total number of people eating there were more than 11 (including us). It’s natural for them to forget our order. We ordered garlic and were waiting for 15 mins. That’s when we lost patience. We have been so polite but even after that we didn’t used any wrong word or disrespected anyone. We were just very frustrated because it was a bad experience for my entire family over there. The food got cold. But I don’t blame those girls for forgetting the order. The owner needs to make sure that the restaurant is not short staffed. The owner then knew that we were gonna post a bad review so instead he started insisting us that we don’t pay. But we are not those kind of people. He told us at-least 3 times to not pay. But then we insisted firmly that we would like to pay and leave and let people know what kind of person the owner is. He is very good at making false stories like he is doing now in the reply.
Edit :
We didn’t take any pictures of the hair; instead, we showed it to the girls who were serving. They themselves removed it from the naan plate, and we simply asked for a replacement naan. However, they forgot to bring it, and even after 15 minutes we had to remind them again. I don’t believe it should take that long to serve just a naan unless you are short-staffed. In the meantime, we only mentioned politely that the food had gotten cold and we couldn’t eat it, and that’s when they called you in. It’s unfair to say we misbehaved, because we didn’t say a single rude word. At that point, we decided to leave. If this is how you choose to respond, then I would kindly suggest improving your...
Read moreI had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant during a recent lunch outing with two friends. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt unclean and poorly maintained. The dining area was visibly dirty, and things only got worse from there.
We were served food with hair on the plate, which was extremely off-putting. To make matters worse, the server who attended to us did not wear gloves, looked unkempt, and was openly scratching his hair while handling our food. A clear violation of basic hygiene standards.
The water bottle and glasses we were given were also dirty, making us question the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep areas. Despite everything, we tried to eat what we ordered and we deeply regret it.
Shortly after the meal, all three of us began experiencing unusual physical reactions. We developed fever, headaches, and high blood pressure. I personally started having breathing difficulties and felt extremely weak. This has never happened to us before after eating out, and we strongly suspect that something in the food or environment triggered these health issues.
This was a deeply concerning and unacceptable experience. A restaurant should at the very least meet minimum hygiene standards, and unfortunately, this one failed in every aspect. For the sake of your health and well-being, I urge others to avoid this place entirely.
We went there on 16th June at...
Read moreWe recently visited Deccan Delight and had a mixed experience.
The taste of food was good as we ordered dosa and uttapam, and both were flavorful and well-prepared. The quality of the food itself was satisfying, and it definitely delivered on authentic South Indian flavor.
Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We arrived around 11:30 AM, and while the restaurant was officially open, it seemed like the backend was still being set up, which caused delays. They were not prepared with masala. Basic essentials like spoons were missing, we had to ask for them and ended up receiving coffee spoons, which were impractical for our meal. The staff was very limited, with just one person serving, and when we inquired about the dishes, they were not well-informed about the menu or the differences between certain items.
Another issue was the poor insulation. While heating was on but It was getting cold inside, as the air was flowing through, making it uncomfortable to sit and eat. This could be a major drawback, especially during colder months. Overall, they delivered on taste but fall short on service and comfort. With better staff training, improved service, and a more comfortable dining environment, this place could be...
