Our experience at Tosca Ristorante was exceptional because of Tiara. My husband and I were visiting Ottawa, spending time in the city and celebrating his birthday. I made a reservation at this restaurant because my gut feeling was telling me it was the right place to go and have fun. The moment we sat down, Tiara welcomed us very kindly and I’m happy to share our experience. Here’s a nutshell of our time at Tosca Ristorante!
Tiara welcomed us warmly with a genuine smile and friendly demeanor as we entered the restaurant, immediately putting us at ease.
She listened attentively to us, making sure to clarify any special requests to ensure our satisfaction.
Despite a busy night, she efficiently delivered our foods to the table ensuring that each dish was served hot and fresh.
Drawing on her knowledge of the menu, she offered personalized recommendations based on our preferences, helping us discover new and delicious dishes.
Throughout the meal, she anticipated our needs, refilled drinks, cleared plates, and offered additional utensils without being asked.
She engaged us in friendly conversation, made us feel valued and created a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant.
When I mentioned it was my husband’s birthday , she surprised him with lovely sparkles sitting on pistachios ice cream dessert and a heartfelt birthday wishes, going above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I was actually so surprised so forgot to take a video and Tiara said that she would redo it again! Poor thing! I bothered her a lot that night and she was still so nice and lovely! 🥰 oh BTW, I bothered her with taking some pictures and although she was super busy she ensured she provided the same excellent service to other customers.
Oh gosh, Tiara’s gracious farewell touched our hearts! As we finished our meal, she thanked us for dining at the restaurant and invited us to return soon. She gave me a big hug!
The manager of the restaurant is also a very kind and friendly gentleman! He’s very intelligent to have a very professional team including Tiara!
I can’t emphasize enough the quality of food, and the reasonable price at this restaurant and recommend everyone to go there and enjoy their time, meal, and the pleasant and soothing atmosphere!
Tiara, it was a pleasure meeting you and we’ll be...
Read moreThis is a sad very sad disappointment for Italian food. Let me start off by saying service was absolutely horrible. They had 3 servers for the entire restaurants and that is including the manager in fact I don't think there was a manager because when I went up to ask for a manager the guy who said give me a minute 3 times said "I guess that's me". The waitress took about 30 minutes to bring us water with a huge attitude and then did not ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. Then she disappeared we had to ask someone where she was because we had been sitting for 45 minutes before she even came back to take our order and then took our order and walked away. We had to tell someone else to have her bring bread, the person dropped off bread that was stale and rubbery. Then after she took the order the so called manager came up to me speaking Arabic trying to apologize but didn't really apologize he was trying to explain how Sunday's are normally very slow and that they got all these tables out of no where. I guess by him talking to me in the language that he assumed I knew only because of my looks they thought it was going to make up for the lack of service and the attitude of the waitress. If it really was the issue with getting a huge rush all the waitress had to do was say hey sorry we are really busy I'll get with you in a little bit that didn't happen she refused to talk to us gave us all an attitude for no apparent reason. NOW let me get to the food, I ordered a salad, 1 it was warm not cold but warm salad should be cold, 2 it didn't have any dressing on it, 3 the lettuce was not cut it was huge leaves. Thence had to tell someone that it was ok to have her being the entrees out if we didn't tell them we would have been waiting forever I ordered the tasco fettuccine and it was disgusting I ordered it with chicken and it had absolutely no flavor what so ever, no taste, it was supposed to have garlic and basil which to me is called pesto however it was more like just a tiny bit of garlic and parsley didn't taste like anything but plain fettuccine pasta. I couldn't tell anyone about the food since they dropped the food off and never saw her or anyone else again. This is a disgrace to Italian food and a disgrace to the...
Read moreafter a lovely day by the coast myself and my companion went for what we hoped would be a nice end to the day by having dinner here, oh boy were we mistaken. after arriving we had to wait what seemed like an age to have our drink order taken, after three other tables were seated served drinks and there food order taken we still had yet to receive our drinks. I would like to point out that yes it was a sun night, half the restaurant was closed with the lights out and by no means full. When we were eventually served our food, after having to call over a waiter we were served with quite frankly rubbish sub standard food. The food was all cold in the centre i.e. the arancini, the lasagne, my companions food the sea food pasta after been recommended by who later turned out to be the manager was very soggy and when mentioned this to the said manager while paying the bill his reply was "our pasta does not come al dente".............. After paying the bill I mentioned to the said manager that I we had to wait a long time to be served, i had yet to mention anything thing about the rubbish food but was met with over defence aggressive manager who instead of trying to appease me the customer who had payed the bill in full was met with the MANAGER raising his voice to me and drawing attention to me and my friend which i found really embarrassing and some what humiliating i would never go back here I would strongly recommend that you don't waste your hard earned cash on this place when the manager of this establishment has no clue about how to converse in a civil tongue or show any respect to...
