Euro Bistro — Restaurant in Ottawa

GREAT burgers......

However the Poutine is the typical English Poutine fair.. Fries are too large, the gravy is lukewarm, no proper cheese curds and since the gravy is lukewarm the cheese doesn't melt. For this reason I give the restaurant a 2 star for serving a national dish improperly.

Guys if you want PROPER Poutine look up Pataterie Hulloise on Saint Joseph in Hull/Gatineau, the rest of Canada just doesn't know how to make it properly.

A proper Poutine would be the centerfold of the menu if done properly.

Until then, try again.... Very Sorely disappointed.

ALSO a proper Poutine is not large fries and some sauce with cheddar. A proper Poutine is made beef broth maintained at a near boiling point. The cheese CURDS are kept at room temperature and you must use THIN cut Julian fries. When you add the sauce to the fries and cheese must be bathing in the sauce, not like a soup but...

We came to Ottawa from Winnipeg on business and were looking for a place to eat in this wonderful city, and we found this extraordinary spot. The owner of the place is an amazing person. We came to Canada from Poland, and here we met a woman from Poland as well. I can’t even express how wonderful it felt to speak Polish, enjoy incredibly delicious pierogies, salads, and cake. The place is very clean inside, and the food smells amazing. It makes you want to come back again and again. If you are looking for a place to eat delicious food, just like at mom’s home, and in a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, you must visit Euro Bistro. The only downside is that I live in another city and cannot visit this place as often...

A number of friends and I happened upon this place earlier today. We were on our way to some other restaurant when we coincidentally spotted the menu of Euro Bistro through the window on our way by. It caused us pause, we pondered the establishment briefly ("do we just want to try here?" "It is closer..." "Ah, why not!"). There were no regrets.

Euro Bistro has friendly service and an absolutely delicious meal! All of us loved the food, the ladies working were very nice, and we absolutely recommended the place to everyone we passed later that day.
