I usually order takeout from Firehouse subs and their subs are always pretty decent. Downloaded their app a few days ago to try a promo they had for 50% off subs from 2:00:4:00pm. Tried to order 2 days in a row from Orleans, Ontario store on Innes Rd with no luck. Used their mobile app for the promo of 50% off from 2:00-4:00. Both days the promo didn’t work. On the last day of the promo, Oct 10, 2024, tried ordering again before 4:00. Didn’t work. Tried a few times and finally my order went through, without the promo, but was charged $37.05 for 2 subs. Jessica and Cristina from Firehouse Subs Guest Services emailed me to tell me the promo was from 4:00-6:00. Weird that they don’t even know what the correct times for their promo are. Maybe they had a different promo in another region. In one of their emails, Cristina, checked my account and could see my order was placed before 4:00pm, which is within their promo time period. It was clearly stated in offers, on their app that it was from 2:00-4:00. Called the Orleans store and asked about the promo not working on their app. Asked if I could order over the phone and was told offer only available through the app. They also said that the offer was from 2:00-4:00, but I had to order by 3:30 to get the offer. Read moreOrdered for the first time last Saturday at Firehouse Subs. Been hearing such great things through word of mouth. so thought I would give it a try. Used the Online platform which was very easy. Made the order for 6pm pick up on a Saturday night. Was called by a staff member ten minutes before pick up time to tell me my order was ready. Restaurant looked great inside, Was really impressed with the renovations they did to this unit as I managed the restaurant business that was there before. They have a real cool Firehouse theme. COVID protocols in place. Liked how we enter through the main door and exit through the side door past the sectioned off dining room. Staff member who called me served me at the cash and was very personable, great customer service. Now the best part of course were the subs. Each of my household members were ecstatic with the quality of the product and you can tell it starts with the bread being so fresh. I have an eating disorder, and it's not that I'm asking for a complicated sub (I ask for the things that trigger my eating disorder to not be put on the sub), and to add hot sauce (that you pay extra for). And the subs either are always covered in what I specifically ask not for, or no hot sauce.
The hot sauce is frustrating because it's extra, I've since bought a bottle so that if they do forget it, I at least have some at home, that's just a mold irritation. But when they add things I've asked them not to, I can't eat the sub at all.
To some this may sound ridiculous, but to this new mom, whos only meal might be this sub, and then she can't eat it due to just callous disregard or care it seems, it's freaking sucks. Especially at...
