Mr. Mozzarella (Woodroffe) — Restaurant in Ottawa

Placed an order online for an XL pepperoni thick crust, well done pizza for delivery at about 6:05pm. The price with delivery charge was 36 bucks. It arrived an hour later. The pizza had the thinnest crust I had ever seen... Looked like cardboard and tastes like a frozen pizza crust. I called to see if there had been an error in communication and was met by a very distracted man that for the following 6 mins told me the dough was the just made super fresh and something must have happened for it not to rise. I explained it tasted bad like cardboard and it was ridiculous that I had paid 35 for this he just kept saying no dont say that he doesnt know what happen and is it only the crust has risen? I again explained it tasted bad he then offered another pizza, I asked a thick crust? Or will it be made with the same dough, he said we have sold pizzas no bad reviews. I again said this was ridiculous and he again said dont say that. I said fine then bring me back my money...he then just stops talking. It isn't until my husband gets on the phone and asks whats going on and what happen, he immediately says oh it was made a thin crust and that he'll send out another pizza and if we arent happy with it he will refund our money, well the pizza arrived and it is exactly the same no money was returned. When I called to again because the pizza looked exactly the same. The man on the other end told me it was a perfect crust he even messured it. You tell me do either of these pizzas look like even a regular crust pizza on their reviews or menu? I am furious. Never again horrible service horrible pizza old yeast will...

Story Time

Its 8pm on a wed, spent all day working, im starving. The weather turned rainy and im driving nepean. Thru the foggy front windshield I see the warn glow of a sign - hot pizza.

I stop. Small shop. Kind employee behind the counter.

$20 walk in special, large pep and cheese, (always get slight extra sauce on base) comes with w can of pop and I got a garlic dip.

I know pizza. This pizza was THE best pizza ive had in Ottawa since moving here years ago. The crust is thick where it should be thick and thin where it should be thin. Cook was to perfection, just the tops of bubbles getting some good colour. The crust - amazing, crunch and chew, the cheese - amazing - almost tart its so fresh - like snappy. And the sauce - amazing - rich and full of flavour. Each component on this simple pizza was SMASHING and was clearly made with balance and care.

But of course a pizza can only be as good as its maker! This pizza was so good I called back to tell them it was good. The maker was identified as TEJ (sorry if its spelt wrong) and this employee deserves a raise from the pizza gods themselves. She is the reason you got...

This food is the worse food I’ve every eaten in my life I almost threw up that’s how horrible it was the sauce looked expired I didn’t even eat it but I’m not mad about that everyone has a off day but the thing that had me mad was the manger lied to me she was supposed to call me at 1pm but didn’t and then when I finally got her on a call she didn’t want to give the refund but another pizza even after I said I don’t want another pizza they are scammers and very rude people who make horrible and bad tasting, unhealthy food I spent 50$ on something I couldn’t even eat the food was uncooked but the manger denied that I even afforded to show the pictures of the uncooked food but she just ignored my question and said I was wrong and that the food was cooked when it really wasn’t don’t give these people your money!!!!!!
