Walking into Sí Señor Mexican Street Food is like stepping into a vibrant corner of Mexico. This hidden gem offers an authentic dining experience that combines the flavors of traditional Mexican street food with a delightful, nostalgic atmosphere. From the colorful papel picado banners hanging from the ceiling to the rustic wooden tables and chairs, every detail in the restaurant has been thoughtfully curated to transport you to the lively streets of Mexico.

The menu is a celebration of classic Mexican street food, with each dish prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The tacos are a standout—served on warm, handmade corn tortillas and filled with tender, flavorful meats like carne asada, al pastor, and barbacoa. The salsas, ranging from mild to fiery hot, are made in-house and bring an authentic kick to every bite. And don’t miss the elote, grilled to perfection and coated with a delicious mix of spices, cheese, and lime.

What truly sets Sí Señor apart is its charming atmosphere. The walls are adorned with vintage Mexican movie posters, hand-painted Talavera tiles, and photographs that tell stories of Mexican culture and history. The music playlist is filled with traditional mariachi and ranchera tunes, adding to the nostalgic feel and creating an ambiance that is both lively and heartwarming.

The staff at Sí Señor are exceptionally welcoming, treating every guest like family. Their passion for Mexican cuisine and culture shines through in their service, making the dining experience feel personal and memorable. They are happy to share the stories behind the dishes and offer recommendations, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the meal.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mexican cuisine or new to the flavors of Mexico, Sí Señor Mexican Street Food is a must-visit. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience that captures the essence of Mexican street food and culture. You’ll leave with a satisfied palate, a full heart, and a...

Every week or two my 9 year old son and I take "Food Walks" where we walk around for a few hours, talk about life, explore, joke, play and try a new restaurant we have never tried before (its nice to have over 100+ restaurants and cafes within walking distance from our home). Sí Señor has hands down been one of our favourites and one of our biggest extremely pleasant surprises. The food is delicious and tasted authentic homemade and made with care. The decor in the take out area shocked us with how cool it was and how much we enjoyed all the interesting things we could absorb, from art, to statues, to Mexican treats and much more. The owner seems like a genuinely kind guy, and equally important, seems to really take pride in his business and really care about delivering the best food and experience possible. I remember thinking to myself, "This is an intelligent guy who genuinely cares". There are not enough businesses these days where the business owners truly care about giving the best they possibly can. This is one of them. I try to run my own business in that way as well, so it really resonated with me and I deeply appreciated it. We cannot wait to come back again and try more flavours that this wonderful gem on Rideau...

Downtown is home to so many amazing local restaurants. I found this cute little Mexican restaurant on Rideau street called Si Señor. They wanted to bring the authentic food they love from their country to Ottawa. The mural, art work, and wall sculptures really enhances the feeling of being in Mexico, very beautiful. Ok food time!! What amazing and delicious flavours, the ingredients were fresh, everything looked as good as they tasted, I'm sure I could have eaten all the tacos but of course I must share. Our meal came with a side of rice and 2 drinks, so we decided to try Mexican Coke, there really is a difference in taste. The guacamole was creamy and loved the chunks of tomatoes. The pico de Gallo had a great flavour balance of lime and cilantro. The chips were nice and crunchy and went great with both the guac and pico. I also got a few tamales, so good!! If you are in the mood for some amazing tacos, you need to try this place! You will not be disappointed. #Supportlocal...

My husband and I really love mexican foods. He really loves birria tacos. That's why when we went to Ottawa he saw this authentic mexican restaurant. We went for a late lunch-early dinner there. It was Thursday, and they have this deal every Thursday, 2 Quesabirrias just for 13cad or something. It's cheap but the quality is sooooo good. I had chicken quesadillas, and it's one of the best quesadillas I've ever had. We had those partnered with our favorite mexican soda, the Jarritos. 🤍 We also ordered dessert, their churros and tres leches cake. It's our 1st time to have crispy and so good churros!! Also, we love the vibe of the restaurant. It's small, but filled with good ambiance. The staffs are so nice and accommodating. You can hear them sing and enjoy their shift. I highly recommend this place. Didn't disappoint! Would love to be back and bring our friends with us.

Well, I'm very disappointed by my food. I had been following this restaurant on insta and the food always looked so delicious. To start I went to their original location at 1:30on Saturday. It was not open. So I traveled to their new location 15 mins away. I asked for 3 flour tortillas and 3 corn. We received all corn. I personally dislike corn so I was upset. My husband was the one to pickup the order because I was waiting in the car with the baby. I did not send him back to correct the order because we had already waited 15mins for the order in the 1st place. Now for the food, we order a beef and 2 different chicken tacos. All were dry and over cooked meats with a soggy corn tortillas. So soggy my last taco actually fell apart. The tacos were dry and underwhelming. The churros were good. Overall not at all worth the $50
