Shawarma Andalos — Restaurant in Ottawa

Usually dont leave reviews but this needs to be said.

In the afternoon of 1/25/24, A young black girl about 13-14 ordered food, got the wrong order, and staff laughed at her. The staff lied saying that’s what she ordered and she was “using her phone” and didn’t pay attention to what she’s saying. Everybody who witnessed saw she was attentive, not on her phone, and ordered something completely different from what she got. Her sisters came to confront the staff for laughing in the girl’s face after giving her a completely incorrect order. They said “You talk too much” and Took MORE money from their card. The original order was $35, they ended up paying about $15+ more, i’m not sure the right exact amount.

Absolutely the worst shawarma in Ottawa. The beef is dry, flavorless, and has the texture of cardboard. The garlic sauce—if you can even call it that—is barely there, leaving the sandwich bland and disappointing.

But the worst part? The service. The guy making the sandwich was in such a rush that he didn’t give me a second to think. Instead of taking a proper order, all he did was repeat, "Everything? Everything? Everything?" Like a broken record, as if his only goal was to shove customers through as fast as possible.

This place is a joke. Terrible food, terrible service. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about what they serve. Avoid...

I had a very disappointing experience at Shawarma Andalos in Billings Bridge Shopping Centre in Ottawa. The food was honestly some of the worst I’ve ever had. The beef doner tasted like reheated mortadella—not even close to real doner meat. As for the Shish Tawouk, it was completely raw when served, and we had to ask them to cook it again. Even after that, the chicken had an unpleasant smell and was not tasty at all.

To make things worse, the food is overpriced for the quality you get.

The staff member who took our order was unfriendly, and the overall service was poor. The entire experience was terrible. Definitely not...
