Today I went to this Starbucks location. I have recently stopped going here due to poor service and quality. However, today my other location was very busy, so I gave Coventry Road another chance!
Ultimately this turned out to be a mistake. The service and quality has declined significantly. I walked in. The location was moderately busy considering the drive through.
I had to clarify my order multiple times as I felt the person serving me was not listening. I purchased a box of the Teavana tea bags but could not see the second flavour I wanted to buy on display, so I asked if they kept any in the back. The service was rude and I was made to feel this was an extremely inconvenient request.
It took over 30 minutes for my order to be prepared (this being 2 medium size strawberry/coconut drinks). I had requested no inclusions at the point of ordering and clarified this with the person who took my order. When the first was prepared it had inclusions. So I requested it be remade at which point another was promptly prepared. However it was a large size and there was only one. No second drink was prepared. Given the amount of time I had waited, I had to leave so my partner could get to work on time.
Overall, I found the location to be quite unhygienic and messy. There was a large amount of waste cardboard boxes and discarded plastic cups. In addition alot of the prep surfaces had stains, or dried milk splashed on them. There was also a large amount of flies both in prep areas and at the collection point.
The team working were consistently arguing with one another or speaking rudely, a few even gave me a looks of disbelief. They really seemed to be struggling for space and for ingredients or items. A few team members were simply standing around while one or two seemed to be working. There was a lack of cohesion or support I am familiar with seeing at other locations from all members of the hierarchy.
My partner and I have both visited this location multiple times, we are disappointed with the decline in service experienced here. This location used to be one we...
Read moreI typically don’t post reviews, but felt I should say something about my experience at this particular Starbucks. I ordered a latte and a coffee cake (warmed). The person who took my order was quite pleasant and customer oriented. We chatted for a bit since I wanted to donate some money for a poppy but there was no separate donation box for it. I then went to pick up my order and my latte was there but no coffee cake. Since there were no customers I went back to the cashier to see if my cake was there but it was not. She glanced back to the guy who was assigned the task of heating up the baked goods and then looked at me signalling that it was coming. I then went back to the pick up area and waited a few more minutes. He dropped off something for someone else and I continued to wait. I watched him to see if my order was coming and he was just standing there so I went back to the cashier (since there still were no customers) and she went to him and picked up my cake and gave it to me. There were no customers and I was the only one waiting for an order so he definitely knew the cake was for me. He seemed to not care and was content to just let it sit with him behind the cashier’s back. I don’t know if she was responsible to bring the cake to me or if he was to drop it off, but he wasn’t dropping it off or advising her it was ready for her to pick up. I then started reading reviews about this location and the first few made comments about poor management allowing poor teamwork. It’s really a shame when co-workers don’t work together to create a positive environment for all. I gave 3 stars because the cashier was friendly and obviously cared (checking on my reheated cake twice!) so deserved 5 stars, however her co-worker who stood in front of the reheating oven...
Read moreRecently renovated, however I got a coffee that had a 1/4 cup of coffee grounds in it. Called the manager Phil and he gave us 2 free coffee’s. I’ll give him 2 extra stars for that as it was just 1 before. … In the drive through I had to repeat my order several times, then discover they ran out of Splenda. So the girl says they have stevia and I say ok that’s fine. Two coffee for me and my Mom, cream in both which I repeated several times and she forgets the cream and serves me black coffee. They aren’t even busy but I noticed the girls were all chatting gossip when I got to the window, then she distractingly handed me the 2 coffees with no eye contact and no napkins. They rarely clean the bathroom in this location I have noticed. Good thing there are many coffee shops around. I think the homeless guy that lives on the sidewalk outside should become the new...
