100% the best damn sports bar in Ottawa Canada on Clarence Street in the By Ward Market ! Donât be fooled by the name because they accept me as a die hard Leafs and Cowboys fan. The owner and his management teams and staff truly treat you like a LOCAL always! . Shout outs to the Clarence team location with GM Olivia and RM Emily they rock as does their staff! The beers are ice cold and the newest craft on tap is tantalizing and tempting! Not sure what to try just ask for a sample. There are daily specials and the food people is unbelievably tasty and you can get deals daily you just gotta check their website. ALL U CAN EAT WINGS $25 on a certain day and $11 triples bar rail Everyday! No brainer duhâŠâŠGoogle this word Trolley Sauce. You wonât find it except at the Senate. A must try for spicy lovers.
Whether you live here or if you are visiting Ottawa and looking for a place to watch YOUR favourite team, look no further Just ask the Bartender/Server and they will do their best to accommodate your request. Do remember this is an official Ottawa Senators Bar. So the sound and main tvâs will always be on for all Senators games. But like I said I see all my Cowboys and my Leafs games with the sound on some of the time. Regardless they put my TEAM on right in-front of where I am seated which is UNBELIEVABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
There is some mention of this being a Bills Backers Bar but pay NO ATTENTION to that. I watch my Cowboys there all the time. I am there most Sundays and you will see your NFL team play regardless of the Bills playing. The sound may be a toss up based on majority of fans in the bar but just voice your opinion cause the Bar isnât called the The Billate itâs called The Senate. Just Saying!
Like Nike says âJUST DO ITâ Cmon in!! Say you read Ottawa Canadaâs review on google and you will get a FREE 3 ounce triple of H20 on ice from me!
Best drink in the world aka water...
Read moreMe and my friends were robbed by this establishment, my four Freinds went out for drinks, I joined them about 2 hours later. I had 2 beers and 1 shot, then my two other Freinds came for drinks as well, one of friends accidentally spilt a beer and then we were promptly cut off despite 3 of us having only been there for Less than an hour. the server than thought it would be a bright idea to bring one bill, when confronted she insisted that somehow all of us had said 1 bill which was clearly fabricated and false, she insisted it was too difficult to split a bill 7 ways despite only requiring a basic calculator and grade 1 math skills. Also she took it upon herself to put a 30 dollar graduity on a 170$ bill (more than 13% tip) again when confronted about this she because very hostile and defensive insisting it was policy to add an automatic tip for a party of 8. The only problem with this was that we were 7 and certainly did not think she deserved a 30 dollars tip for running drinks and messing up our bill, she challenged us to speak to her manger as if this verdict has already been pretermiend, the manger while more friendly than the server also insisted on this automatic tip hiding behind some company policy that had no sign to show and we had not been informed of this prior to purchasing drinks. Despite being in the right we decided it was best to leave it since we were In a hurry and decided to pay up this outrageous and undeserving tip. Will never return here and I warn any young group of people, if you are looking for a good night out the Senate is not for you as it will attempt to take advantage of your intoxication by racking up ridiculous gratuities complimented by...

But tonight, when I sat next to my brother at the Senate, I had no idea that a test of our manhood was about to be thrown down like 16 bit Donkey Kong. We sat. We ordered beers. We ordered 'trolley track' wings. Sam and Steph were happy to serve us. The wings arrived. BAM ! - new recipe. I've had them before, but these were Trolley Tracks 2.0.
With the first bite, we both knew this was a feat of strength. A test of manhood. I looked at my brother. He was crying a bit because the new recipe is like lava in your mouth. I was crying too, but on the inside - to look tough. Sam saw our distress and asked if we were ok. When he saw our struggle, he cried with us out of empathy. And when men cry together, it's cuz they're at war and the battle is hard. On the televisions around us, men were kicking soccer balls and dunking while hockey players fought for pucks, but the real battle, was the wings. Even the cook came out to see if we were ok. He cried with us. The battle was hard, but we won; we killed those wings. Trolley track wings are the eleventh challenge of Hercules. If you can handle a pound - Canadian manhood respects you. ... you...
