Definitely to be visited - especially since it is a symbol of Canada's commitment to the world peace by making its contribution to the UN peacekeepers force that was awarded Nobel Peace Price in 1988. The Sussex Drive side of the monument has the background of the monument very well written - something great to know a bit about the history of the place. Besides the monument itself, the northern corner of the place has a beautiful mini-garden where you can sit and enjoy the view.

This is a very well designed memorial, with several different styles of art and attributes cleverly combined to create a very dramatic and emotional symbol. I particularly appreciate the flag that was at half mast, to acknowledge and remember all the fallen soldiers. Please note this IS NOT The Three Watchmen - that is a Haida totem sculpture across the street.
