Location: Inside the Hotel La Normandie, in the village of Percé. I would say that parking is mainly for guests as the car park seemed small, but I'm not sure if the hotel has parking elsewhere.
The place: The restaurant is in a large section of the hotel, with plenty of windows, offering a fabulous view of the rock and the fleuve. I particularly appreciated that the tables are spaced out, which means that you aren't sharing dinner with strangers. The decor is what I'd refer to as "classic" and elegant. If you really want to dine here, I suggest reserving a table in advance. We lucked out - we stopped by one afternoon to see if they had any tables free for the same evening, and we were able to reserve one for 5 p.m.
The goods: I started with the scallop ceviche, almonds and pineapple. I think there was actually pesto in there as well. The entrée was fresh and delicious, with interesting flavours. The portion was also quite sizeable for an appetizer. Since I went with the table d'hôte option, I also had a Caesar salad, which was also quite good - it had the perfect amount of dressing and didn't 'drown' the salad. For the main, I had scallops with Corinth raisons and saffron (I think) with rice and a lovely salad. The dish was delicious. My mom had the salmon and loved it. We were too full for dessert but thoroughly enjoyed the delicious coffee.
Service: Impeccable service from Celine, who was attentive and made sure our water glasses were never empty. We felt like she was only catering to us the entire time we were there. Thank you!
Price point: On the high end, but the dinner experience was worth it. The only thing I'd like to mention is that their table d'hôte situation is overly complicated. It would be less complicated if there was one option that included an appetizer, main and dessert + coffee.
