I’m currently on my first trip to the Gaspé Peninsula with my father. Our intended destination was always PERCÉ as we heard amazing things about the rock and the town itself. We arrived late Sunday July 17th after a long and gruelling 22 hour drive. We admittedly slept in our car in a parking lot behind one of the gift shops upon our arrival and when we awoke the following morning, we were in dire need of a coffee and something to eat. We stopped here at the “Boulangerie Le Fournand” and were greeted by two of the most kind and upbeat women. My father and I embarrassingly don’t speak any French and they were super accommodating to our needs. They truly made us feel right at home. We visited the next few mornings after that and the women were always intrigued as to what we had planned for the day and were genuinely interested in the adventures we were having.
I give you a * Heartfelt * Thank You For Your Hospitality & Genuine Kindness.
Ps: Hope you enjoy your heart shaped rock 😉

Read moreI had a delicious chaussons aux bleuets! On the larger side, with light and very flaky pastry, fresh and good quantity of blueberry filling. 0900 on a Saturday in August, there was a line out the door but still plenty of seating available indoor and on the front deck of this boulangerie + viennoiserie + patisserie + café. Offers very wide variety of baked goods from pain levain, mini pizza, quiche, croque monsieur, sandwich, cookies, brownies, tarts, eclairs, escargot aux raisins, pain au chocolat, croissant, etc. Plenty of signs announcing they accept Interac (Canadian) Debit or cash only! I cannot comment on the coffee as I did not try it, I took my pastry to go and went next door to Tempete Cafe for their flat white. There’s plenty of seating across the street where one can enjoy both with a lovely view of Percé rock and île Bonaventure. If I was in town one more day, I would do exactly the same, the only decision would be chaussons aux bleuets or chaussons aux fraises! Sorry no pictures I could not...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this place. Not only is the food to die for but the service is amazing.
We had breakfast here every day of our 3 day stay in Percé. We had the croissant, cinnamon bun, croissant aux amandes, bran muffin, and chocolatine. They were all super tasty and perfectly buttery and flaky. Tatsed like France.
The coffee was also spot on. Would drink it all day. Latte was creamy, americano was aromatic, capucino perfect, and hot chocolate nice and think.
We also had tuna and jambon sandwiches to go for our trek to Île Bonaventure. Bread was a great mix of crusty on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. The perfect sandwiches!
Also had the quiche, which was light fluffy and flavorful, as well as the croque madame. Delicious. I would eat here every day if...
