Moe's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Pointe-Claire

Food was awful, but service experience was far worse. Last night, I ordered a smoked meat sandwich, "medium fatty", the way I have been ordering for many years in the better smoked meat establishments around the city. The sandwich came, and I was hard pressed to find anything but fat, pretty much no meat. It was awful. I had a few bites and left the rest of the plate uneaten.

When I complained to the waitress, she went to see her "manager" and came back shortly after saying that it was not their fault, and there was nothing they could / would do. She said it was the way I ordered it, which was clearly not the case. The manager, if there was one at all, never even bothered to come see us at the table, and left the server to deal with it on her own.

The bill came and the charge for the sandwich remained. We were a party of 8 and it's not like this was a $50.00 bill, yet they refused to make another sandwich or credit the 1st one. I have never seen anything like this before.

This is certainly the last time I will eat there. They could use a serious lesson in customer service. I understand a bad meal, which can be easily rectified, but the horrible attitude towards the customer; that's just totally unacceptable.

Perhaps that's why the restaurant was so barren and empty on a Sunday night...maybe a combination of bad food and far worse customer...

The food and waiting staff were excellent however the management and pricing policies leave you scratching your head for sanity. I asked to replace the French fries that came with my meal for sweet potatoe fries the waiter informed me that there would be an additional fee for that swap and further informed me that because of my swap I was no longer entitled to the coleslaw that usually comes with my meal. I’m used to paying extra for sweet potatoes and rightfully so considering they are dearer to purchase; but then to remove something I was entitled to after paying a premium is absurd.

When the manger came to our table to rationalize this policy well that’s when I thought I was audience to a stand up comedian. He proceeded to condescendingly tell me that I was getting a great deal. And how if I ordered only the sweet potatoe fries it would cost me $6.00 instead of the $3.00 premium I was charged for my swap and that’s why they justify the removal of my coleslaw.

I've been living in the west island my whole life, and I had never been here until tonight! My boyfriend and I popped in around 9:30 at night for a bite, and it was lovely. I was surprised to see only a 3.5 rating on-line when I came here to write my review!

Our waitress tonight, Judy, was so sweet, pleasant, and most of all patient with my billion questions about the menu. Such friendly service in a comfy atmosphere. The bar is really nice and full of life, but they are separated by walls so that if you want a quiet dinner, you can enjoy it.

My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich with the fries. The fries are great and home-style. The pulled pork sandwich was very classic, (as in not drenched in sweet barbecue sauce) with a heavy gravy. Delish!

I had the something-west sandwich! Haha I forget the name! But it had avocado, tomato, lettuce and a fresh-off-the-grill chicken filet. So tasty and most of all FRESH.
