I used to visit this Starbucks quite frequently, as it was conveniently located near my employer at the time.
Every time I visited, I politely placed my order, patiently waited for it, and paid with a good tip. I never made any complaints, was always patient and polite, always tipped, and never said or did anything that could even remotely cause a conceivable offense to a sane person.
The last time I visited this location, I received some text messages from a friend just after I picked up my order. Since it was raining outside, I spent approximately one minute inside the store answering those texts before I left. I was not in anyone’s way as I did so. In fact, I was the only customer in the store at the time. As I was leaving, I kid you not, I overheard one of staff loudly say to his colleagues in a tone of mocking faux disappointment: “Awwww… is he leaving?” Followed shortly thereafter by an angry “Go eat your sandwich!” It was just bizarre and entirely unwarranted.
I’ve been to a lot of different Starbucks outlets up until that point, but this particular location has by far the rudest staff I ever had the misfortune to encounter. Not only did I stop going to this location, I stopped going to Starbucks in general because there’s honestly a hundred reasons to visit any other café than a Starbucks.
Don’t go to this café. Go to literally any other café instead. Preferably, one that isn't a chain. They’ll be much more likely to appreciate your business and deserve your business as such far more than this truly awful place and their incredibly rude employees. I don’t normally visit this location because the drive-thru line is typically into the parking isles for Walmart customers. Today I decided to stop and go through the drive-thru as the line wasn’t very long, I still waited 15-20 minutes to get to speaker. Once I got to the speaker, the barista told me she would be with in a moment, ok not a problem, the wait was a new minutes. She comes and says “sorry for the wait we just really busy inside” I was a bit taken back by that as there was another 4 or 5 cars behind..I get it’s busy inside but you’re busy in your drive-thru too. I order my mocha and I get it without a sleeve. Starbucks cups are not double cupped already making it so a person doesn’t need a sleeve. 2024/09/17 between 0900-0940. Reducing the service rating to 3 star because the new employee, she yelled at me over the speaker this morning. Do not like her attitude, not typical Starbucks behavior This is the bucks in my hood. Everything is great except like all other bucks in the city, they started asking customer to pay tips on the machine. However, there is no service involved other than handing out coffee at Drive Thru.
