Subway — Restaurant in Port Coquitlam

I purchased a foot long sandwich and foot long chocolate chip cookie and drove home to eat them. After eating 1/3 of the cookie, I found a hair baked into the cookie. I immediately drove back to Subway, fully expecting to get a refund.

The worker pulled the hair out of the cookie and then tried to convince me that it’s not a hair. He said that it’s part of the chocolate chips. He tried phoning his manager but the manager wasn’t answering their phone. He said that he doesn’t have the authority to give me a refund and suggested that I come back, when the manager is available. I advised that I didn’t want to waste anymore time with this and that I don’t think that it’s acceptable to make me come back in for a 3rd time. I never got my $6.00 refund. It’s not about the money, it about the principle of the matter. They’ve lost me as a customer over $6.00. I will never go...

I don’t normally use reviews, but this one was exceptionally worth sharing. Nirmal provided excellent service. I walked to this Subway from my house at around 2:30am for some fresh air and a meal, the usual Saturday night occasion. There was an issue with payment, and this kind employee saved my sandwich combo for when I could come back with cash from my house. He even offered me an extra cookie or bag of chips for my combo. I really appreciated it, especially since I made it back just on the tip of closing. I just had to tip him the extra 5 bucks I had on me. We then sat down and ate a meal together and got to know each other a little. I don’t know if you will see this Nirmal, but I really appreciate what you did for me that night. Was recently here. Had a footlong Sub with a chips & drink.

I'm eating my sub and I finish my drink. I get a refill & continue eating my sub. The sub is making me thirsty so I try to get another refill.

Employee tells me I'm only allowed 1 refill, even though there's no sign saying only 1 refill. I ask him to make an exception & he said ok fine.

Yeah after he upsells me the drink & chips combo upgrade he wants to be this petty on the owners behalf.

It costs about 5 Cents to fill a cup with soda They charge 3 Dollars for a drink cup, so major profit margin there. & it's dishonest that they don't post sign saying only 1 refill

If this franchise wants to be that ignorant & petty with soda refills then they will lose customers, because people can go eat somewhere else. I hope the employee & owner can...
