Went on a busy Sunday during last concert series in Aug. Parking in the park was pretty much full but managed to get a spot just being vacated by the Boathouse. Street and overflow parking on Murray St.is available. Many families picnicing, enjoying the park with dogs that were either leashed or well behaved...and surprisingly clean of any doggie messes. Plenty of room for people enjoying sports such as ball tossing, bounce ball etc.on the main grassy area which also included a staging area for the free concert that was going on. Dancing area included. Has kayak and paddleboard rentals on top of the many boaters using the launching area by the pier. Pajo's Fish and Chips, Boathouse Rest., 2 Food trucks ( Marimba and a Bque truck this day) plus ice cream shop located in the park. In our opinion, we recommend the food trucks over Pajo's (expensive for the small pieces of fish you get). We enjoyed a Cochinita YVR Sandwich from the Marimba *Local Mexican Kitchen* Truck more. We did not see the many food trucks on Murray St. until leaving, sadly. The park offers many amenities and recommend to people of all ages and families. Beautiful park, views, etc.

I went paddle boarding and it was really nice. Rocky Point is a beautiful park with a pathway, dock, water park, ice cream shop, and kayak/SUP rental shop. However, the parking is HORRIBLE. There are a lot of parking spots only reserved for cars with boats attached. There is not enough parking spots for people who are planning to walk around the park etc. Rocky point park east access has overflow parking, but the lot fills up quickly. The first time I came here, I was lucky and found a parking spot at the boathouse. The second time I came here at 6pm and drove around for an hour trying to find a spot to park (my friend had rented a paddle board so I couldn’t leave). I didn’t want to park super far away, since I had to carry my heavy paddle board. It was so frustrating that there were so many empty spots reserved for boats, but not for other visitors. I was about to park on a side street, but an officer said he was ticketing people parking there because they had no boat attached! I don’t plan on coming here anytime soon until they fix their parking. Awful experience.

Located such a short distance from many major areas! There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. There are covered tables located close to the parking area that make carrying the groceries from the car much easier, even in the rain! There are also plenty of picnic tables scattered throughout the park too which offer beautiful scenery. The public pool and Splash Park are not open yet, but will be great when they are. The kid's playground is spotless and decked out with a cute wooden pirate ship in the center for kid's to climb on. A huge bonus is that it is located directly beside the public washrooms which get locked at about 8pm so keep that in mind. There is a groundskeeper who continuously picks up litter that they find around the park throughout the day. There is a boat launch here too for the boating enthusiasts. There is something for everyone here and to think it is only minutes to many towns is such a gem!

Rocky Point Park in Port Moody, BC, is a delightful waterfront destination offering a variety of activities for all ages. The park features a scenic boardwalk with breathtaking views of Burrard Inlet, perfect for leisurely strolls. Families can enjoy the large playground, splash pad, and picnic areas, while fitness enthusiasts take advantage of the cycling and walking trails. The park is also home to a pier for fishing and boating, adding to its recreational appeal. On-site amenities include a skate park and an outdoor pool, enhancing its appeal for youth. Rocky Point's seasonal events and festivals create a vibrant community atmosphere. With ample parking and nearby eateries, it’s a convenient and enjoyable spot for a day out. Overall, Rocky Point Park is a versatile and vibrant destination for relaxation and recreation.

Rocky Point is one of our favorite places. We go almost weekly year round. The shoreline trail is great for walking or biking. The pier is a nice walk with a great view. There are so many great local businesses as well - Rocky Point Icecream, Rocky Point kayak, Pajos and of course all of the breweries on Brewers row! The water park is the best in the Tri-cities - although it can be very busy. The new playground (May 2019) is very nice but smaller than the old playground and no where near big enough for how busy the park is in general. It is still a nice playground but on a busy day (weekend in the summer) it is better to go elsewhere if you are just looking for a playground. Included some photos of the playground during construction as we went regularly to check on progress.
