Noticed this new cafe had opened up while driving by and went to try it on the weekend. It has a quirky honey bee theme and the interior is calm, clean and very nicely decorated. At the entrance there is a honey testing station and some live bees you can view. We ordered the almond croissant and brownie cookie, the bees knees and honey bee foam drink. Not sure if the drinks were supposed to contain any honey, didn't really taste the honey flavours if they did. But the food and drinks were good! They have an online ordering and payment system that wasn't working when we were there but I liked that it had nice pictures of all the items you could order. Guest wifi wasn't working though and also we requested the pastries to be warmed but I think they forgot to heat them up. Also they offer a buy 8 coffee or honey and get one free stamp card but the cashier didn't hand them out or ask if I had one until I asked her to mark mine. They should use a stamp or something as the marking was a hand drawn star and can easily be replicated leaving the reward card open to abuse. Please drop by and support this new local cafe if you get a chance!
P.S The matcha tea latte looked really good from the pictures, would like to try that...
Read moreI was initially excited to see a new local coffee shop opening near me. I stopped by a few times, and although the coffee and food were terrible at first, I spoke with Amir (partner/manager) and decided to give them some time to improve. However, I noticed a constant turnover of staff, with new faces appearing and then disappearing after a few weeks.
I discovered they were hiring young newcomers, not paying them, and telling them they had to work for free to gain experience. When these workers insisted on being paid after a few weeks, they were let go. Additionally, I learned that the parent company is engaging in similar practices at their head office/farm in Pitt Meadows. Definitely not going back there and asking people to do the same. "After reading the owner/manager's response, it seems like they are more interested in using intimidating language rather than addressing the actual issues. Instead of making threats, perhaps they should focus on treating their employees with respect and ensuring they are paid fairly. I am aware of several individuals who have had negative experiences, including mistreatment and unpaid wages, and these cases have been reported to Employment...
Read moreI recently visited the honey cafe in Port Moody , and Iâm so glad I did! The cozy ambiance instantly makes you feel at home, with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a thoughtful touch of greenery. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every guest felt welcome.
The coffee was exceptionalâsmooth, rich, and clearly crafted with care. I tried their signature latte, which had the perfect balance of flavor and creaminess. The menu also offered a delightful variety of pastries and snacks; the freshly baked croissant I ordered was buttery and flaky, just as it should be.
What stood out most was the attention to detail in every aspect, from the presentation of the food to the cleanliness of the space. Whether youâre there to work, catch up with friends, or just enjoy some quiet time, this cafe caters to all.
I canât wait to return and try more from their menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect...
