I was in to get one of the apple pecan salads, a long time favorite. The apples tasted old and were inedible. No big deal. My bigger issue came when I approachef staff to use the washroom. I wad told the bathroom was closed. I asked how long would be closef for and why wasn't there a sign on the door. I was told they didn't know because the plumber needed to come. I asked if I could use the other washroom, I wad told it too wad closed. I said 'So you're telling me there are no washrooms available for use in a restaurant seating more than three customers. That's not legal" Someone else intervened and asked what the problem was. I said I just needed to use the washroom. She told the other petson, 'oh, she's a customer. I just served her' ' At which time I was allowed access to the washroom. During that conversation I was holding a Wendy's coffee cup with coffee in it. This could have been resolved sooner if the petson had simply told me the washroom was for customers only, at which time I could have told her that I am one. Instead she chose to lie and keep up the lie.
I had a similar experience at the same location when there with my granddaughters. I asked if I could get a cup for water. At first I was told no. ( We had ordered three meals. Both kids had pop but I don't drink pop and had coffee instead). I asked why I couldn't have water. She said we don't give. After questioning again, I was given a cup of warm water. I asked why I couldn't fill a cup from the fountain machine. She told me it doesn't have water. I told her it had to, it won't work without. I took the cup to the fountain, dumped out my lukewarm water and got some ice and water, went back to the counter and showed her. She just shrugged her shoulders. The issue is with the lie. And the assumptions. If I wanted pop, I would have ordered it with my meal instead of the coffee. If I wanted tol take the pop without buying it, I could have used my grandchild's cup. I could have also dumped out the water and refilled the cup with it. The utter stupidity of the occasion was stunning. But the whole conversation smacked of assumptions that I was either unwilling or unable to pay for the product. There was bigotry, profiling, and possibly poor-bashing going on here. I am an older white woman, so you may wonder what the bigotry and profiling is based on, but what do you call it when you make blanket assumptions based on a person's appearance. Although I don't know what would trigger that.I can only presume that was the resson for refusing a paying customer access to a washroom or a cup for water. Both of these times, the employee was an immigrant. If I had caused a scene I would have been called a Karen, for using a descriptive word I will probably be considered racist. I am neither, I am resentful of the presumptive attitude and having a person look me directly in the...
Read moreI don't want to flame this place too bad because it's just a fast food place and I know you wont get 10/10 service all of the time, but today felt more crappy service wise that I'd expect. I went in with my partner to grab some late lunch, we got a combo, with some items on the side, a medium drink that she didn't even input until I asked a few more times. We specifically ordered 6 of the Cinnabon Pull Aparts, which were delicious I will add, but when I first said that we'd like that many the girl froze, looked me up and down and questioned if I said 6. I ignored the look and just confirmed that yes I would like that many, as we planned to save some for later. She proceeded to ask if I was certain I wanted 6 of them multiple times, with an odd tone and a judgmental look. After she finally took me seriously I tried to switch the combo drink size to a large and retried ordering the second drink. This time she did put in the drink, but didn't change the combo size. So i asked her again and she looked down and pressed the screen but it didn't change. She asked if that was everything and once again she ignored me completely just stared at me blankly. This exchanged happened too many times. I just wanted a larger drink. Eventually i gave up, I just paid for it as is because I was sick of her ignoring me. Just kinda wished she would've given me...
Read moreBrought my wife and 3 young kids here Tuesday. Usually try not to eat fast food, the save on foods close by had no hot food out at this time. (1pm?) Ordered JBCs and small frosties for the kids, youngest wanted chicken nuggets. There were a few homeless inside when we got there. One lady nodding off at a table. No big deal. Within 2 or 3 minutes, another handful of homeless came in, WREAKING of urine, and two guys casually shared crack hoots right outside the window with a glass pipe. My youngest threw up on the drive home and for the rest of the night, possibly mild food poisoning? Hands down the worst experience since we moved to prince george. We're from Vancouver, not strangers to the plight of the homeless, I have nothing against them. But blatant drug use and treating the place like a hangout for getting high and coming down. Would warn everyone to stay far away from this location. Very poor quality food. Horrific environment. Would rate 0 if it...
