Horrible experience from start to finish!

We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, and it was dry and stale. For our mains, I had the tartare duo (mediocre at best), while my boyfriend ordered the smoked meat sandwich, which was supposed to be the JUMBO version. He also upgraded the fries to a poutine for an extra $6.

When the plates arrived, we were both shocked. The so-called “jumbo” smoked meat sandwich was tiny, and the poutine looked more like a kid’s portion — definitely not worth the upgrade price. We kindly asked the waitress if she might have brought us the regular order by mistake, but she confirmed it was indeed the jumbo. Sensing our disappointment, she offered to check with her manager.

Instead, the owner came over and condescendingly explained the “cost” of the smoked meat, as if we didn’t understand basic pricing. No apology, no attempt to make things right — just a defensive attitude that left us feeling dismissed and disrespected.

To top it off, when the owner noticed that I had only eaten about a third of my main and pushed it aside, he sarcastically remarked, “The extra $6 made you lose your appetite?!” Unbelievable! Rather than addressing our concerns or showing any hint of professionalism, he chose to mock a dissatisfied customer.

Yes, they did eventually credit us the smoked meat plate, but that’s not the point. The lack of respect and basic customer service made the entire experience miserable. Save your money and go somewhere that values its customers and treats them...

Amazing staff and service. Very attentive and helpful. We made reservations for 6:30pm on a Saturday night. They check covid passports so have yours ready.

We sat at a table in the back of the bar area. The atmosphere was fun and lively with music and sports on the giant TVs.

I had the margarita pizza which was good, not the best, but definitely good. My travel partner had the steak tartare which was seasoned well and was accompanied by very delicious fries and small salad.

Salle réservée pour un anniversaire, un quarantième, la serveuse, seule, ignorait que nous allions manger en arrivant à 18h avec un groupe de plus d’une vingtaine de personnes… elle a dû demander l’aide du staff en haut.

Les repas ont été servis avec un décalage de presqu’une heure pour la dernière table. Ils ont reçu des assiettes froides. Pour ma part, ma table a mangé un bon 15 minutes avant moi. Ma conjointe a demandé une cuisson, on lui a dit que tout était à point. Sa bavette est arrivée trop cuite. Elle a dû la retourner. Je n’avais jamais vu une bavette aussi cuite…

La serveuse avait des amis au bar, certaines personnes du groupe ont attendu leur bière un bon moment. Pour la facturation, elle a dû refaire des factures parce que tout était sorti en facture unique. Ça a pris un moment. Quelqu’un a demandé la facture qu’il avait payée, c’était impossible de la retracer. Il y avait une certaine confusion dans la facturation.

Il y a clairement un problème d’éclairage, les lumières oscillaient. Quant à l’odeur, la salle du sous-sol sentait l’humidité et les toilettes. Ce soir-là, ça sentait mauvais… La porte des toilettes ne coupe pas l’odeur.

C’est dommage, le menu semble bien planifié. Mais l’exécution et le service, ce soir-là n’était pas à la hauteur. Quant au sous-sol, il n’est pas adéquat pour le genre d’évènement que nous y avions prévu. Nous avions surtout l’impression que les habitués de la place étaient surpris d’avoir de la visite.

Je me permets ce commentaire puisque clairement, la soirée aurait été meilleure ailleurs avec la gang...
