My family and I were looking for a small breakfast while touring Quebec City. My son has a cashew and pistachio allergy. The baristas here were probably the most empathetic we encountered in all of Quebec City. They immediately pulled out their binder and were able to quickly identify what my son would be safe eating (which was a pretty decent selection of the pastries offered). This is a large contrast to my experience about a block away, where I was told a biscotti would be safe and that's it. In addition to the understanding we were given for food allergies, the baristas are cheery, and paid attention to quite a bit of detail, such as asking "should we save some space for milk in your coffee?". It's a cozy place with a small window stool area on the main floor where the barista is located and then up the stairs is a whole floor dedicated to sitting and drinking you coffee and eating your snacks.
The barista was a fabulous young lady who was very happy and polite. We had a great conversation while she made us some great cappuccino and espresso.

One had taken off their boots and had them behind the counter between the fridge and the display, and while walking around barefoot after taking my order she even scratched her barefoot.
