Restaurant Ly-Hai Inc — Restaurant in Quebec

We loved this restaurant when we stayed in Quebec City. This family run place is authentic and inviting. The owners daughter runs the place for her parents and she was so sweet. She gave us a lot of tips on things to do! The food is an amazing deal at lunch ! Soup, spring rolls and salad, entree, and dessert all included for about $20. You can’t beat that in Quebec City, especially in the old town, where everything is a tourist trap and overpriced. One of the reviewers said that the man working wouldn’t stop talking and you know what shame on that patron. This is a family run local business and they deserve the respect of their patrons ! It’s hard to be a restaurant owner these days and you can learn a lot from local business owners. Thank you for letting us visit and feeding us the best deal we had...

I went on a weekday evening around 5 pm. The gentleman working was serving the only 2 of us in the restaurant. He would not stop talking. He was talking really loudly as well, and complaining non-stop about all the costs that had gone up. We both order a Vietnamese salad and 2 Vietnamese rolls. The rolls were okay. The salad was iceberg lettuce and sliced tomato with a 'sauce' that tasted like water and a pinch of fish sauce....

Honnêtement je m'attendais pas à grand chose en allant là, et en sortant, c'était en bas de mes attentes... On était un groupe de 20 en haut et le service était nul... Pauvre gars, il était seul à faire tout le service sur deux étages. La fille du proprio était assise à une table entrain de jaser aulieu d'aider lol... Au deuxième étage où nous étions assis, c'était plein de tables racomodées ensemble, des sets d'assiette différents et un enfant qui dormait à côté sur quatre chaises collées pour faire un lit... Côté bouffe, oui je comprends que c'est un Apportez votre vin, mais quand même, pour 25$ je m'attends à de quoi que je ne peux pas me faire chez moi en 20 minutes. Les assiettes de tout le monde se ressemblaient et les goûts n'étaient juste pas là... Rien de personnel, mais je n'y retournerai pas! Pour 12$ chez Thai Zone c'est meilleur...
