Read morei like the atmosphere, but they served me the wrong drink and told me that it was what i ordered.
i tried to order the strawberry iced tea, but they gave me a strawberry matcha latte instead. its also partly my fault because they gave me the receipt which shows that they put "strawberry matcha latte", but I didn't pay much attention to it. my friend ordered the strawberry matcha latte, and we were surprised when two of it came to our table, which is when I went to the receipt and saw they put that instead of the iced tea.
i tried telling them that it wasn't what i ordered but they told me that it was what i told them. i think the mixup was with the strawberry part. anyways they were slightly adamant that i ordered the strawberry matcha latte, and since i didn't look at the receipt in time until the order came, it was disappointing i couldn't get my actual order item.
i didn't want to escalate the situation so i ended up telling them it was fine, but know that this is a possible outcome when ordering from here - they didn't seem to want to accept that they put my order in wrong, so it kind of forced me to give up and accept that drink. it was also way more expensive; the strawberry iced tea i wanted was roughly $6 and the strawberry matcha latte was almost $9 for a large. it didnt taste that good either because i dont like matcha, which is why i never would have ordered it in the first place unlike what they tried to convince me.
anyways, not mad just pretty disappointed. i thought this situation could have been handled better. i dont deny that i too was at fault for not checking my receipt soon enough, but i didn't say "matcha" or "latte" once during my order, so putting it in the system incorrectly is not on me. yeah just...
Read moreEvery time Iâve been here I am pleased with the service and the drinks (especially the london fog itâs one of my favourites), but this was the first time I got an actual meal. My friend and I went in and ordered our food to stay - mind you we were the only customers in the store around lunch time, so we were thinking it would be relatively quicker then if it was busy. I also canât eat dairy, so I asked for no cheese, which the person at the register clearly stated on the order. We sat and waited for about 15 minutes before changing our orders to go because we wouldnât have enough time to eat in, and then waited atleasttt another 10 minutes before our food was actually finally ready. They advertise right under their name that itâs âHealthy fast foodâ I believe, so not to be that person but I think they might need to be a little faster to advertise that lol. So my friend and I take our bag and start walking back to where we were parked a couple blocks away, she opens her sandwich which she really enjoyed, then I open the to go box to find my meal completely covered in cheese, melted cheese that I canât exactly remove easily. When you spend $15 on a meal and give a tip, and when thereâs no other customers in the store, I would really expect for my meal to be what I asked for and not take an entire lunch break to be ready. Not to mention the cafe also smells very old and musty, which makes sense since itâs in an old building, but if you canât handle smells like that I would probably take out over done in. Overall I have had good experiences here in the past, definitely feels very cozy later in the day, but this experience did not live up to...
