Cora Breakfast and Lunch — Restaurant in Regina

My 2nd visit so I knew to arrive on a very empty stomach. This busy place is not for light eaters! Worth the wait though. Such fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. My Western Omelet was full of 2 colours of crisp peppers, onions, small amount of ham cold cut squared with just enough egg to hold it together. It was tasty but I left about 1 cup of peppers on the plate. Simply too many peppers but good if you can eat more than a whole pepper yourself with an egg. The potatoes are homeade chunks, not deep fried, quite tasty, 3 toast choices. I had less fruit than my companion-strawberries, cantalope, puneapple. Each plate has a different amount, selection or arrangement of magnificent tasting fruit. My companion had the 2 eggs benedict with asparagus/swiss cheese and beautiful fruit -kiwis, pineapple, honeydew, fanned apple, banana, strawberries. I was looking forward to going to Cora's. Cold, very greasy, heavy tasting potatoes. Barely warm food, barely. Good coffee but it seemed to get weaker with each cup I had. I think the restaurant was short-staffed on that particular day that I went. Very very nice waitress. By the time I left the smell of grease coming from the kitchen, which is open and facing the customers, left me feeling nauseated. That smell stayed in my hair for a long time in spite of the fact that I blasted cold air in my car to try to get rid of the smell. I had an appointment to go to and wanted to have that smell go away. I considered some of the prices quite high, in my opinion. What terrible food. My husband ordered the brunch burger and the meat tasted old. Border line spoiled. The manager did not come our the table after I complained about my husbands burger Our waitress said the he discounted the bill a bit and he never had a complain before. I had to go look for the manager and he told me he did not charge us for the coffee and that was enough. The quality of the food has decreased, the presentation is quite inferior .
