EXCITEMENT THAT TURNS TO DISAPPOINTMENT. Went here today with my picky eater 6 year old nephew who has autism because he asked for an egg waffle in Gongcha. However, this girl with a blonde hair was very rude and I couldn’t understand everything she said. She was taking my order and I said “2 egg waffles and 1 red bean matcha waffle” (I was not aware that it should be “original”. Anyway, while I was ordering, my nephew keep on turning around in the center aisle and touch one of the furniture in the store (because he was so happy that he will eat waffle) and because of that I was having a hard time understanding what the girl was saying because I keep on looking at him until she repeated it 3 times and was looking very rude to my nephew and pointed at him and so I just said “yes” just to finish the order. After taking my order, she went to the area where the furnitures were displayed and re arrange it because my nephew touch one of the furnitures. She was keeping an eye to my nephew while we were there because he was moving in his chair and went to the counter once to check his waffle (because he was just excited). But I told my nephew to just sit still and wait for his waffle until he saw the girl face and he just said to me “anger, red is for anger” and he got scared. After making our orders, the girl just put our 2 egg waffles in the pick up area. I was waiting for our matcha red bean but I notice that she was fixing the garbage so I thought she did not punch it in their system. My mistake was I did not check before I pay because I was holding my nephew not to touch anything so I just scan my card quickly. I checked my account and I confirmed that I only paid for 2 waffles. I was excited to taste the matcha red bean waffle however, I dont want to be near to negative people like her. She can be a liability to the store and not an asset. Hope the manager...
Read moreHonestly this place doesn't even deserve a single star rating. Yes their drinks are fine and everything but the customer service is trash. I called this place and asked them if I could come by 9pm since I live at the north end of Regina and the person said "yes as long as you make it before 9pm." I left a little bit early so I could get there before 9pm. Despite all the traffic and the constructions going on, I still made it right at 8:59pm and they locked the doors. I knocked on the door and the lady said they were closed when technically they're supposed to close at 9pm. I told the lady that I called a person that works there and he said if I make it before 9pm, I'll be able to get my drinks. During the conversation, the clock hit 9pm and she said it's 9pm and that nothing could be done. I kept telling her what the guy said to me over the phone but then she goes on to say we don't have any drinks at the moment (a total lie) and that I should visit them the next day. I'm not trying to be a "Karen" or a "Jacob" here but what I'm trying to say is that they should focus on their customer service as the employees are the first face of the company and the reputation of a store/company depends on their performance. I also work retail and I don't return customers coming in last minute since good customer service is what grows business. There should be an exception for customers coming in a minute before the closing time. I'm very disappointed and I will never visit nor recommend this...
Read moreHonestly, I go here on a weekly basis and will continue to go because it’s definitely the best bubble tea in the city! However, the location itself is not good, it’s difficult for anyone who is unfamiliar with the items to order because there is only one paper menu posted in the front window (you have to stand outside to read it) and one at the front till so you feel rushed. There are posters everywhere with new drinks or drink collections that are not included on mentioned menus, so overall it is overwhelming and confusing to order. They’d benefit from having screen menus like other Gong Cha locations I’ve been to so that they can constantly update it and it’s visible for everyone! There’s also no seating as they have tables pushed towards the door due to Covid, but the front area is so small that everyone waiting for their drinks ends up standing well within 6 feet of one another, or even outside as space is so limited. It’s just not a very customer-oriented layout, but once you know what you want and have some time to wait, still...
