There were pros and cons to this location. First the pros, the food was great! The restaraunt boasts of sourcing locally meat from Moose Jaw. It was our first korean experience and we quite enjoyed the food. The food was clearly high quality and fresh too. The atmosphere was very well put together. Bright white tables, fresh plants, beautiful lighting, and hot plates built into the tables! Clearly the owners spent a ton of money to put the place together. Our waitress really tried to help us understand the menu and get the full Korean experience. We really appreciated that. Finally, free ice cream! What could be better. Unfortunately the cons outweighed all the wonderful pros. It mostly had to do with the service. First. We weren't really sure who or server was. There was a young guy and a Korean woman who were helping us. One person took our order. The other served our food and seemed to get blamed everything something went wrong during the night. Upon receiving our meals our waiter forgot our utensils. It took 5 minutes for us to flag down a server to get our utensils. Second. No one asked us if we wanted something other than water to drink. Third. When I started to eat. The woman. Clearly trying to be kind and help us out, reached out and grabbed my hands without my consent. She was trying to show me how to eat the food korean style. But I did not appreciate that. Fourth. Half way through the meal the woman came by and took the, still filled, soy sauce and chili sauce that I was using right off our table. Fifth, when I asked for it back the woman scolded the guy waiter out in the middle of the restaraunt. Sixth. No one told us there was free ice cream! Seventh. We didnt order the hot plate but the people beside us did, the waiter litterally had to crawl under the table in between their legs to plug the hot plate for their meal. That is the way it is for all the hot plates. Its one reason we avoided these dishes. It was a little odd. Overall, I was really shocked by some of the shananingans that were going on and it really ruined our experience. I think I would give them another try sometime when they figure their server...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA flawless experience. Warmest welcome. Knowledgeable staff. Amazing food. Clean and modern inside. Tons of gluten free options.
My recent visit to Life Is Good Restaurant was a flawless experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we received the warmest welcome Iāve ever experienced at a restaurant. The staff made us feel instantly at home, greeting us with genuine smiles and a friendly, inviting attitude. They took the time to ask about any dietary preferences and were more than willing to answer questions and make recommendations. You could tell they were knowledgeable and passionate about the menu, which made a great impression on us right away.
The food was outstanding and truly memorable. We ordered the bibimbap, bulgogi, and kimchi, and each dish was as delicious as the next. The bibimbap was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented, with a wonderful combination of flavors and textures. The bulgogi was tender, with just the right amount of marinade that brought out its savory taste, and the kimchi was incredibly fresh with a balanced kick of spice. Every bite was a pleasure, and itās clear that the kitchen takes pride in using quality ingredients and preparing each dish with care.
The interior of Life Is Good is clean and modern, creating a comfortable atmosphere thatās both stylish and relaxed. The restaurant also has plenty of gluten-free options, which was a big plus for our group. Itās rare to find a place that not only offers gluten-free dishes but does so with such a varied and flavorful menu.
Overall, Life Is Good Restaurant lives up to its name. From the amazing food and welcoming staff to the inviting ambiance and impressive attention to dietary needs, itās a fantastic place to dine. I canāt recommend it enough and look forward to coming back soon to try even more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have wanted to go to this restaurant since coming to Regina. It just never seemed to be open when I was by until today. I was very excited to try it out.
First off, walked in to an empty front desk and walked into the restaurant portion to look for someone. I was met by a very friendly waiter to gave me a nice seat and menu. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and I was impressed.
I was a little surprised at the prices on the menu they seemed to be a little steep and I couldnt find a lunch section. I asked the waiter what he would recommend for lunch. He recommended a bento box looking dish that was 35$. I wasnt really interested in a large meal or paying that price for lunch so I went with Bimbap as Iāve had it before elsewhere. I also asked for beef.
I was given a complimentary serving of Kimchi which was nice, and then the meal came. The beef was amazing and the rest was very mediocre. It also didnt come with an egg, apparently that was 2$ extra ( for 2$ more i could have a carton!).
The entire meal cost about 30$, I guess I didnt realize that it was extra for the beef to be put on, or else I would have paid around 20$ for a bowl of rice and vegetablesā¦
It was also an extra dollar to have a stone bowl. Ive never had Bimbap anywhere not in a stone bowl. And why would it cost extra to put it in a stone bowl? Does it cost 1$ extra of energy to heat the bowl? Very strange and I just feel like its price gouging.
I was very disappointed about all of the nickel and diming. I had higher hopes for this restaurant. 30$ for Bimbap with Beef no egg and no stone bowl doesnt seem like a fair price to me, even if this is out in the praries. I dont believe I...
