Milky Way — Restaurant in Regina

Ice cream was good. Sadly we had some issues nothing major at all if I could, I'd give this place 3.5 stars. Carrying on with my issues however. Line up for once wasn't 45 mins to an hour long but was behind us once we got into it. I see they have at least 5 plus people working there yet they can't handle 3 windows and or slap out ice cream orders very quickly. I suppose sometimes quality over quantity, which is precisely why I'm here. The photo added shows a short story. I came here and purchased 2 dozen ice cream sandwiches. I received all 24. However I asked for vanilla, strawberry vanilla swirl, and just straight strawberry. I only received a random mix of vanilla and vanilla strawberry swirl. I got all the way home and realized so came back as I actually came for the strawberry flavor. They were completely understanding and they switched them out. However if you look at evidence number one out of the 8 strawberry they gave me, 5 of them are basically zero ice cream between the cookie compared to the others. Not sure why this is, however it's unacceptable. Covid times they cut out some ice cream? Or is it something else? Who knows will probably never know! What I do know is it costed 60 some dollars for 2 dozen ice cream sandwiches. And for 60 dollars I think the man deserves more for his money, then what you can see in the photo. Seems like all there ice cream is like this, over priced for what you're actually getting. Thousands of customers a year and yet, you still some how manage to get by with the pricing you give out. The ice cream isn't that special, and neither is the hour or more wait to...

I always hear such great things about Milky Way, finally went and was fully disappointed. I got a peach sundae and my friend had a strawberry banana sundae. A part of me hopes they maybe ran out of the right ingredients and just tried to improvise? My peach sundae was vanilla soft serve with drained canned peaches scattered around it, and it took a long time to come out. I guess for a sundae I'd expect some sauce or something? I would have preferred if they said "Actually we are out of X or dont have X right now". The bananas on the strawberry banana sundae were freshly cut and looked pretty they weren't brown at all, but same.. the strawberries, they seemed like they had been drained with we think there might have been some strawberry sauce? it was hard to tell it was pretty watery with not much flavour. We also thought the ice cream tasted like a frozen dessert, it was like eating frozen cool whip. Maybe we just don't have the right taste buds for milky way, but anyway. Probably wont...

Finall, u made it to Milky Way this summer (2025) and experience the city’s classic local ice cream place. It is definitely over rates as u did not find anything out of box in the taste of the ice cream. With that being said o did enjoy that the place offers a choclate dip cone ice cream that I have been for quite a while. Next the quantity was way too much for one person. So o hope these could option’s in smaller sizes. Lastly I enjoyed the fact that it’s one of the rare places in the city where one can stand on the side walk and enjoy an ice cream with friends and family, specially when the weather is pleasant. There aren’t many such places in Regina. I hope the ice-cream taste was much more delicious and smaller portions were available for a lesser cost for people to try different flavours...
