As I sit in bed immediately after injesting this garbage I am filled with regret and disappointment-both in the food and my judgement of what looks potentially edible and what does not. My order from little saigon on Rochdale should have been the later. We ordered fresh rolls, beef and broccoli, and a dinner for one.
Fresh rolls- were warm? That's odd. Were limp and smelled fishy. Taste was overall decent so I ate one and moved on with my life.
Beef and brocoli- OK first who serves beef and brocoli with carrots and large onions? Once again strange but whatever. The sauce was minimal, watery and tasteless. Beef resembled undercooked bacon-lots of fat, slippery and can't really tell if it's cooked or not.
Dinner for one- my boyfriend ate some of this so I can't speak for him but at one point he ever so graciously pronounced "what the he'll am I eating" and proceeded to spit his food on the plate. Now he is laying in bed beside me talking about vomiting and the possibility that we were served leftover scraps from previous customers.
Thanks but no thanks...
Read moreFood was very delicious but it was tough to enjoy my pho to it's full potential being a take out order. Since I didn't have a bowl (staying at a nearby hotel), it was awkward eating my soup from the plastic cup and standard take out container. Pho was great, a bit sweet for my taste but the beef balls and steak were good quality. The star of the show was the spring rolls. Instead of the wonton wrapper, it was with rice paper which provided a wonderful mix of crunch and chew. The portions were massive and of course each bite was heavenly. I'd recommend trying here for the spring rolls alone. Not often you'll see a restaurant specialized in Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai cuisine. Seems like a lot of work to maintain such a diverse menu. Next time I visit, I will explore the Chinese and...
Read moreDelicious food and LARGE portion sizes! I had the Combo O and was only able to eat half, despite me typically having a larger appetite than most.
The only reason there isn't a perfect score on service was at one point, someone in my party tried to flag the waitress for her allergy, but the waitress didn't notice until the rest of our group (who is much louder) flagged her down. Partially on us for not remembering to mention it in the first place, but I would be concerned that a quiet/shy solo diner may run into issues— especially as there was only one other table at that moment in time.
It's quiet, clean and a well styled resturant. Comfy seating and quiet elegance— outside of the kinda-cheesy but fun placemats, which have information and dates on the...
