If you’re looking for a dine-in experience, stay far away. What an absolute joke. Walked in and the lady at the front told us we could order, pay and then seat ourselves. Okay, fine. She said the pizza would be brought out, so we went around the corner and found an empty dining room—except for three tables on the wall. What the heck? Three tables, all nasty and not cleaned. At this point the table beside us saw we didn’t even get napkins, so they gave us some of their extras to wipe down the table. Big thank you to those people for the random kindness. We sat down because we were committed and paid, hoping it would get better. Nope. The food came out in a pizza box. No plates, no napkins, nothing. Not anywhere near home, the only option was to eat at the restaurant. When we asked for plates, they came back with KFC plates. Are you serious? The dining room itself looked less like a restaurant and more like a dance hall—huge empty space, just a few sad dirty tables shoved to the side. All it needed was a disco ball and a DJ to complete the vibe. I ordered an iced tea in a can, asked for a straw and was told they didn’t have any. At that point I honestly felt like I should’ve just eaten the pizza in the parking lot. Horrible service, zero communication, dirty dining room and no effort to provide even the basics. If there were expectations set up front around how things work, then I would have at least had the option to stay or leave. There needs to be better signage or communication. Hopefully this review saves someone a hassle.

A Shift to Self-Service with Mixed Results** I recently visited a Pizza Hut that had transitioned from a table-service restaurant to a self-service model, and the experience was a mix of pros and cons. Upon entering, I quickly noticed the change in the dining experience. Instead of the usual table service, customers are now given small paper plates, napkins, and wooden forks at the time of ordering. This shift to self-service, while perhaps efficient for the restaurant, felt impersonal and detracted from the dining experience. One of the more disappointing changes was how the pizza is now served. Instead of the traditional pan or tray, pizzas are served in a cardboard box. This not only takes away from the presentation but also feels wasteful. The boxes are unnecessary, especially when dining in, and it’s a step down from the more polished service Pizza Hut used to offer. As for the food, the pizzas we ordered were still tasty, living up to Pizza Hut's usual standards. However, the chicken wings were a major letdown. They were extremely small, more akin to a kids' meal portion than what you'd expect from a regular serving. Overall, I'd rate the food a 7/10—decent pizza, but the wings were a miss. The service, or lack thereof, would be a 5/10. The shift to self-service and the changes in how the food is presented have diminished the overall experience. If you’re just in it for the pizza, it’s still good, but if you’re looking for the dining experience Pizza Hut once offered, you might be disappointed.

I don’t order from Pizza Hut very often and I get reminded why after I get home with my order. I decided to try the new Pizza Hut Melts and if anyone remembers the P’Zones(much cooler name) from 10+ years ago the new melts are almost identical and after I got home and opened the box I immediately saw something was off. There was no butter spray & parm on top like in the picture and it was actually pretty dry tasting I shouldn’t have to open the box before leaving the store but at least 8 out of 10 times I ordered something is always missing. I’ve had much better results at the North Albert location so it might only be the Quance Street location that has constant mistakes. On the bright side the staff at the store was very professional and the food itself was hot & fresh…but would I order it again? Probably not given how with just one thing missing such a the parm on top is enough to throw off the taste for me so I can’t in good measure recommend the Melts to anyone. Also on a side note when is the store going to open up for Dine in again? Ridiculous that it’s been closed for so long. The lunch buffet was king.
