On September 11, 2021, I walked into Visions and expressed my interest in purchasing a TV worth $4,255.73. Blair offered financing by Flexiti on the terms of 'No Interest, No Payments' for 18 months and after the 18 months interest starts (see attached terms and conditions signed by myself at Visions). I accepted the offer. Same day, I received the attached email from Flexiti detailing the terms of my purchase. No where in both documents was there any mention of an annual fee or accrued interest from date of purchase being charged at the end of the 18 months term if the balance was not paid in full. Neither was I told that I will be receiving a credit card in the mail. Fast forward to October 13 2021 at 8:22 am, I received an automatic payment reminder for my Flexiti account stating my payment due of $24.99. At exactly 8:39 am I phoned Flexiti and asked the representative what this $24.99 was for and he stated that it's the fee for the card I applied for at Visions. I never applied for any card at Visions and Blair never made mention of any card or its terms and conditions. I told the representative that I also received this card in the mail and I never applied for it. After arguing with the representative he advised me to destroy the card and categorically told me the only thing I needed is a 16 digit number so I can make online payments to Flexiti for the cost of my TV. Boom! I did as advised believing that Flexiti hires professionals that give authentic advice. I destroyed the card. He insisted that I had to pay the fee even though I argued that I was told and I signed a paper that said No Admin Fee, No Interest and No Payments for 18 months. I was under the impression it was a one off fee so I obliged and I paid through my bank. At no point did this employee tell me that even though I had destroyed the card, I was still bound by the terms and conditions of the card which is different from the terms and conditions I received and signed in the store. Fast forward to October 9, 2022 I received another email from Flexiti stating that I had a payment due of $24.99, I was alarmed so I emailed Visions to ask why this fee is being applied to my account again (see attached) and after several emails back and forth, the manager Joel at Visions Regina offered me an in store cash gift of $25 and acknowledged that Visions did not provide me the information about the fee at the time of purchase. Before Joel could respond it took weeks after my complaint so I had already called Visions who then told me that this fee of $24.99 is an annual fee and Visions failed to tell me this in the store. December 18 and 30, 2022 I paid $2000 and $3000 respectively to Flexiti bringing my balance to $1255.73 as I knew that my offer would expire in March 2023 and interest will start. This is what I was advised and same thing on the document I signed. April 9, 2022, I received an email from Flexiti stating that my account balance is $3,696.51 and payment is due April 14th. I was alarmed! I googled information on how to use Flexiti's online banking and I used the numbers the representative I spoke with in October 2021 had given me to make payments with. I created and online account only to discover when I logged in that my account had been hit with accrued interest from September 2021! I went straight to Visions and I was told these terms and conditions. I was being informed of the terms and condition of a purchase I made 2 years after the deal was closed. I visited Visions 3 times and on the third time I finally met with Joel who admitted that Blair obviously did not inform us about the complete terms and conditions of the product. I asked him how Visions as a responsible organization makes amends for their incompetence he said they don't. Flexiti phoned me back today April 12 and after blaming me for not asking the 'right questions' at the store and for not investigating the terms and details of my purchase beyond what I was told at the store and by Flexiti, they offered to take off 50% of...
Read moreMy 19 year old son saved up about $600 for a car stereo system and went to Visions to see what his options were. I went with him, just because we were running errands and I was interested in looking for a new bluetooth speaker anyway. My son went off with some sales guy, and I just wandered around looking at stuff. The next thing I know, my presence is requested because he "needs my name". I come to discover some skeezy sales guy has talked this naive kid with Aspergers into applying for CREDIT at a 29.9% interest rate for a deck that cost much more than he has to spend and didn't even include the speakers. Which, my son didn't even realize. He thought he was buying a whole system installed. Nope. The "system" was just the deck that cost $440, and the remaining $430+ was to install it, and a whole bunch of other total BS fees, which would require a credit application of course. I start questioning this whole process, and all of a sudden there are about 8 other staff members milling about while the sales guy tries to explain to me the breakdown of how he was scamming my son. Somewhat half-heartedly, because it was obvious to him immediately I wasn't nearly as good a mark. I'm not sure if all those staff people appeared out of nowhere because they were expecting me to cause some kind of scene, or why they even have that many people working at a relatively small store, but they ALL came out and hovered while I explained to my son what they were really doing and why it was terrible. None of them said a word to us. They either were pacing back and forth or just stood their with their head down or just wandered it circles trying to look busy (there was maybe one other person in the whole store). It was weird.
It was a really disappointing experience, but I guess it proved to be a teaching moment about ridiculously high credit scams, really gross sales people who will take advantage of anyone they can, and why dealing with businesses and people who have integrity is always a good move. And, more importantly, how to spot people and businesses without integrity, like these jokers. Avoid at all costs and go literally anywhere else for your...
Read moreAbout a week ago my wife and I decided to replace a couple of our TV's. My wife is loyal a 'Costco' person, I am more open to shop around. After looking at TV's at Costco, I decided to check out Visions Electronics. I went to the Visions store located at, 2530 Victoria Ave East in Regina SK.
The person that assisted me was Joel. I can't thank him enough for his patience and product knowledge. He took the time to understand the issues we were having with glare on one of our TV's in a bright room, and blurred motion on the other one that I love to watch sports on. He was literally able to show me the difference between 60 Hz and 120 Hz, and how that effects the picture when watching motion on TV. Then he showed me the difference in TV's when glare is an issue.
I cant thank Joel enough for taking the time to not only explain, but to demonstrate how to remedy the issues we were having with our TV's! He also took the time to explain their extended warranty and how comparable it is to Costco. So with out much hesitation I purchased two TV's totaling a little under $4,000. My experience with Visions Vic East was a 10 out of 10..!
Now I also have to mention their delivery service. Over the years, after great sales service, I've had some 'questionable' delivery people show up to our house. They're rude, smoking cigarettes, don't take their shoes off etc. Jay was the person that delivered our TV's from Visions, and if I thought my experience with Joel was great, Jay went above and beyond that. He was incredibly professional, courteous, and extremely mindful of not damaging our walls etc when bringing in the TV's. He also took the time to help me put the feet on the 75" TV and explain some set up & technical details for both of the TV's. I'm pretty sure this is something most delivery people would NOT be responsible for, but Jay took the time to do so. He was absolutely amazing, I can't thank Jay enough!
I just want to add that I do not write very many reviews ever. But after my experience with Joel and Jay at Visions, I took the time to write this...
