I wish I could give 0 for the manager’s discriminatory service !! I just came to this location 10min ago.
I had a very disappointing experience at this Taco Time location. While I was ordering, an employee spoke to me in English, and I replied in Punjabi because she seemed from my background. She continued speaking in English, but the manager, not sure if right but Amy, still felt the need to publicly tell her, “You better have replied in English,” which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
The employee didn’t argue or defend herself, she just kept her eyes down and continued working, clearly uncomfortable. It was obvious she didn’t want to upset the manager, which made me wonder if this kind of treatment happens regularly.
When I asked the manager what would happen if an employee spoke Punjabi, she rudely said that employees are only allowed to speak English during their shift. When I asked what happens if a customer doesn’t speak English, she dismissively said, “You seem to be talking fine.”
This didn’t feel like a simple policy, it felt like blatant discrimination. The way the manager spoke, the way she gave me a look when I questioned her, and the way the employee stayed silent all made it clear that this wasn’t a one-time thing. It’s unacceptable for a business to treat employees like this, especially when they’re doing nothing wrong.
As a customer, I found this entire interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional. Employees should feel safe at work, and customers should feel welcome regardless of what language they speak. I won’t be returning to this location, and I sincerely hope Taco Time takes action against this kind of...
Read more3 stars because of the food. Customer service was dead felt like cant you go somewhere else to eat we are so busy with one customer inside restaurant and one on drive through. I asked a reciept from the guy who was training a girl and he said she will provide while she was at the back taking drive through order and he was right behind front till and I said ok but I was thinking dude you just have to pick your finger an press the button it's right there. Also paid for the extra gravy and got four regular scoops in large poutine and I was like they are tiny scoops and if you are charging a 1.09 for extra gravy you should atleast put 8 scoops because with 4 scoops gravy is just enough and 3 scoops would be dry and wont even melt the cheese so to melt cheese I think atleast 5 scoops are required and seems like order maker didn't want to make another bowl of gravy so he keep adding less. Guys the whole box of gravy is about 30 bucks which can make gravy for half a month if restaurant is busy so its decent profit which I don't complain but atleast provide customer what you are billing...
Read moreUpdate: Ran out of burritos and returned for their Saturday special on October 5th via drive through. 4 burritos this time. Excellent service and tasty burritos. Highly recommend 👌
Update: returned for the September 21st customer appreciation day, picked up 10 burritos, which freeze well, and won a nice prize. Excellent service!!! Gave a burrito to the fellow at the oil change place next door. He was very happy.
I ordered three tacos on Taco Tuesday, and they were the best I have ever had. Delicious!!! Full of meat and super filling. I could only eat 2! The restaurant was big and clean, and self-serve fountain drinks are available. I only eat keto, but for some reason, the taco shells here don't spike my blood sugar. The service was very fast. The guy did try to get me to buy other things, but for now, this is all I wanted. I'll be back especially for their September 21st half-price burrito sale. I hope I got that right. I might even offer to work there if I get free tacos or burritos as my salary. :-) This is the top Taco Time in Regina...
