Pretty good food but poor customer service not consistent with the typical customer service you’d expect in Canadian restaurant business. Staff don’t speak good English and got weird manners, my friend asked for a glass of water and they refused him and insisted on him paying for a bottle of water instead which was frustrating to start. Later on when we ordered kebabs I asked for a steak knife so I could easily cut the kebab. The server went into the back to check and later on never came back with an update, then I had to catch him busy with something else to get an update to where my steak knife is and then finally he bothered to let me know that they don’t have any. In the end while we were just conversing after we finished our food they asked us to leave since apparently our table was “reserved” for some other patrons, never in my life in my Canadian dining experience was I treated this way by a restaurant business where I was asked to leave when I wasn’t ready to do so or didn’t volunteer leaving myself…. There’s definitely better ways of treating your customers and this definitely isn’t one, if you’re opening a business in another country it’s better to fairly familiarize yourself with the local hospitality and restaurant business norms and leave your poor customer service practices behind from the old country so you don’t end up turning off bunch of paying customers. Only reason why I’m not leaving a 1 star review is because the food tasted good, otherwise very frustrating dining experience… but this is my fair assessment of my experience at this dining...
Read moreIt's so disrespectful to tell the customers that the amount they tipped you is not enough and tell them that it's rude that they only were able to tip you that much. It was a friend's card, not mine so I was not able to tip the restaurant more than that, but to call out the customers and talk to them for 2-3 minutes and question their actions is very rude and unprofessional. She even mentioned working late until 10 p.m. which is not our fault and she herself chose those shifts to work. I am a waitress myself and my behavior and attitude towards the customers never change regardless of their behavior or whether they tip me or not. I do not get tipped at all and when I do, it is not that much. I even thank the customers for a few cents even and appreciate their gesture. By the way, the waitress did the bare minimum as she forgot to provide us with any spoons when there was rice in our order, refused to give us tap water at first when it was for a child who found the food spicy and asked us to purchase a bottle of water for that when we did not need it, I even had to walk up to the counter to get some glasses and when I had to pay the bill, etc... There was no tap water or glasses offered to us whatsoever. AGAIN THEY DID THE BARE MINIMUM and still were disrespectful and rude. We will never visit again when that's their staff they are serving us with. This all happened tonight and ruined our...
Read moreWe’ve been wanting to come here for a while. Was overall disappointed. What we liked that the dining area was spacious and clean. The pitas were nice and the döner was fatty but good. We definitely won’t be back but I hope whoever is running it can adress the following so that the next new customer returns. 1-Customers should not have to go up to the counter and remind wait staff that they haven’t gotten their drinks. 2-First time ever experienced in my life where staff didn’t check on guests at all. 3-Portions were small compared to places like Sofram for the price and to be honest most things had the same taste. 4-Hot water in the bathrooms were clearly turned off (to save money?). They would not run of you tried to get warm water. 5-That bidet thing in the toilet is great in a home but not inteded for a restaurant bathroom. Overall gross bathrooms with broken reused soap dispenser, empty towel dispenser. 6-Most dishes saturated with oils but not in a delicious way but instead just wet. 7-The most basic cheap rice you can get. Honestly it’s embarassing that some people will think this is Turkish food. 8-Why is there no juices or turkish pop? 9-Seems silly to mention maybe but it’s very telling: mismatching dishes and flatware. 10-Why is the handle for the door to the restaurant...
