Our family of four were here on Monday 18th Aug evening, and here’s a quick rundown of our experience.
Pros:
Ambiance: The restaurant is cozy, well-lit, and has a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a family dinner.
Food Quality: The dishes were fresh, hot, and tasty, with good presentation.
Cons:
Portion Sizes: The all-you-can-eat concept didn’t fully meet expectations. For example, we received only one kebab when we requested extras for four people. While we understand you want to reduce wastage, this is not still acceptable. You need to be aware of your customers requirements. When you are dealing in an all you can eat system.
Hummus: The hummus was bland and not as creamy as expected. We are ready to treat the chef for a much better hummus at home.
Service Speed: fair. especially because the food was coming fresh.
Communication: There was a mix-up regarding the inclusion of a "pide" for larger groups, which was corrected after we raised it. On the phone we were told that PDA would be included but at the table they just told us it would be one p day for the table. However they did accommodate a second pide upon request.
Dessert - the Kazandibi was really very very good. Perfect! Sweetness and creaminess.
Conclusion: Overall, the experience was neutral. We left feeling a bit hungry, and the value didn’t quite match the price. With a few improvements, this place could definitely...
Read moreThis is my second time coming here and it was a really good experience, but service is initially slow due to only having 1 staff.
When we arrived we were able to order a shisha immediately but it took about 15-20 minutes to get it, which we later found out was due to only 1 staff member collecting orders and cooking. Then we ordered food which came very quickly. We ordered the moonlight kebab combo for 2, which surprisingly only took about 15 minutes for them to make.
The moonlight kebab combo for 2 was amazing. All the meats were cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The server was very attentive once he got all the orders and other customers settled.
The server was amazing but the place needs 2 people in the restaurant and not just the 1 person doing everything.
The moonlight Cafe is a bit pricey but well worth the occasional date night. We spent 100 dollars for the combo, 2 drinks,...
Read moreMoonlight Café & Turkish Cuisine is a hidden gem if you’re craving a cozy vibe and some seriously tasty Turkish food. The place is warm and inviting—perfect for a chill brunch with friends or a relaxing solo meal.
The star of the show? Their all-you-can-eat Turkish breakfast for just $22. You get a massive spread of fresh bread, cheeses, olives, jams, eggs, and more—it’s super satisfying and feels like a homemade meal straight from a Turkish kitchen. Don’t skip the menemen or the sucuk (spicy sausage); they’re packed with flavor.
They also serve great Turkish tea and coffee, and if you’ve got a sweet tooth, their baklava and künefe are worth saving room for. Service is friendly and laid-back—staff make you feel right at home.
Overall, it’s a chill spot with great food and good vibes. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Richmond Hill and want something a bit different from your usual...
