This was my first time visiting this new Vietnamese spot in Richmond Hill, located in a small plaza near Hwy 7 and Leslie. Parking is limited and can be a bit of a hassle, especially during lunch or dinner rush as there’s often a wait for a spot.
I arrived just before noon and was only the second customer at the time. But within 45 minutes, the place filled up quickly. By the time I was getting ready to leave, a group was already waiting for my table.
The interior is nicely decorated with cultural touches that reflect Vietnamese heritage. A TV on the wall played educational clips about Vietnam, which I thought was a thoughtful detail. Unfortunately, I couldn’t really enjoy it - which leads me to my biggest issue with the visit which was the noise level. It got extremely loud as the restaurant filled up, to the point where I had to raise my voice just to talk to the person sitting across from me. It’s definitely not the ideal spot for a quiet catch-up.
Service was minimal but polite. Staff brought us tea and menus and served our food. They were friendly, but hard to flag down—partly because of the noise, which made it difficult to get their attention unless we made direct eye contact or approached them ourselves.
We ordered a small special pho, which was delicious and came with a generous portion of meat. We also got the shrimp fresh rolls, which were fresh and well-wrapped. The peanut sauce was especially good—thick, tasty, and topped with crushed peanuts. I did wish they offered a shrimp and pork combo option like many other places. I also had the iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It was bold and flavorful, not too sweet, but the portion felt small for the $8 price.
Overall, while the food was tasty and the atmosphere had charm, the high prices and overwhelming noise level left me unsure if I’d come back. I personally feel you can find the same quality, if not better, for less.

Read moreI was seriously craving a warm Vietnamese soup—specifically pho—and luckily found this spot just 5 minutes from where I was.
The restaurant was very spacious, with tons of tables and seating. I arrived around 1:30 PM on a weekday, and it was completely empty. That turned out to be a good thing because it made for a peaceful, quiet atmosphere and super speedy service.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and my food came out within 5–7 minutes. While waiting, I sipped on their complimentary House Tea. I really wish I had asked what type of tea it was—it was delicious!
I ordered the P7 PHỞ SƯỜN BÒ XÍ QUÁCH (Specialty Beef Bone Rice Noodle Soup) and was honestly shocked when it arrived—it came in two large bowls!
One bowl was filled with rice noodles and a couple of beef bones with meat. The other bowl held the rich broth and even more beef bones. Let me just say: they were extremely generous with the noodles. It felt like they were never-ending. The noodles themselves had a nice springy texture at first, but by the halfway mark, they softened up quite a bit from sitting in the hot broth—so maybe consider a smaller size unless you're really hungry. The meat was simple: just boiled beef bones, but if you're like me and can’t resist picking them up to get every bit of meat, gristle, and fat off them... be ready to make a bit of a mess (worth it, though!).
The broth was rich, flavorful, and wholesome. The addition of Thai basil and cilantro added that light, refreshing touch that balanced it out beautifully.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place—especially if you’ve got an appetite. For the portion size and quality, it was a great deal (at least for the soup I ordered).
Next time, I’ll be branching out and trying other Vietnamese dishes—I couldn't help but eye the other dishes being brought out to nearby tables. Everything looked so appetizing and...
