You can easily tell that this place has been around for quite some time. While the inside is relatively spacious, it seems a bit cramped considering its popularity. Despite numerous tables in the dining hall, navigating through the crowd can be challenging. It would be great if they rearranged the seating.
The service exceeded my expectations. The staff were patient and friendly, it was the best service I've experienced at a Cantonese restaurant.
The food was really good, with lots of options on the menu.
The Winter Melon Casserole was fantastic. They used winter melon as a soup container with chicken and shrimp in it. The winter melon was slow-cooked and tasted like puree, and the soup was umami. I heard this dish is so popular that you have to pre-order it.
The Pumpkin and Tiger Shrimp Salted Egg Yolk Tempura - Loved it. The shrimp were fresh, and the pumpkin cuts were soft, covered by the thick egg yolk sauce. That's a taste of happiness.
The Steamed Jumbo Scallops were highly recommended. The scallops were indeed 'jumbo', so fresh and they literally melted in my mouth.
The Deep Fried Milk was yummy too. It was perfectly sweet and not overly creamy. Although I haven't tried many deep-fried milk dishes, this was the best one I've ever had thus far.
Their Roasted Chicken and Duck were very well cooked and seasoned.
All their dishes were amazing. I highly recommend this place if you fancy authentic Cantonese food, especially given their good service.

Read moreMy wife and I ordered a steamed bass for dinner. A lady came by the table and showed us a live fish she said weighed 1.75 pounds. We agreed as the fish was fairly large. While dining on or other dishes that have arrived earlier, the steamed bass was placed on our table. The bass appeared to be substantially smaller than the one that was shown. My wife asked if it was for the right table and the waiter assured us it weighed 1.75 pounds and that it was smaller because it had been gutted prior to cooking. I explained to him that there is no way that fish weighed 1.75 pounds and that it was in between 1 pound and 1.25 pounds. I also told him I worked in the seafood and fish industry for over 25 years. He offered a 10 percent discount which I wasn’t looking for but I declined and asked for the check. Completely ruined my dinner. At 28 dollars a pound what they are practicing is not a scam but committing fraud. I know most restaurants that serve live seafood without pricing usually exaggerate the weight a bit, which I usually let it go, but to overcharge by up to sixty to seventy percent is unacceptable. Unfortunately I’m not Canadian and won’t be able to pursue this any further as through complaints to city officials but hopefully this helps future diners. I have also submitted two photos which should be self explanatory. One photo is of the bass that the waiter claims is 1.75 pounds. The other is a picture of a bronzini fish, weighing at 1.66 pounds, slightly less weight than the 1.75 pounds. I purchased my fish from a local Asian market where I reside. The chopsticks of similar length on both pictures serve as a reference. You...
Read moreThe day first started off bad, got a bit better, and ended off not so good! We originally booked a table for 5 and when we arrived at the restaurant, we had to wait for several minutes because there was no more tables. We asked the manager where is our table and why do we have to stand for a long time with our legs getting tired! They said "Oh because there was a big group of people and we did not have enough tables and chairs for them, since your table was the only one left, so we decided to give them your table!". Finally, someone left and we had no choice but to take their small and tight table and seating. The manager had felt very bad for this because we complained why we don't like this small and tight spot! I thought the manager felt bad because we then saw a great service and nice servers, but those servers are a different story. In the end, the manager asked me if I want to have mango pudding, I said yes because based on his way of speaking, he said "child, do you want to have mango pudding?", I said yes because I thought that he would give me mango pudding and tong sui, but he replaced my tong sui with mango pudding not said properly! Although the waiters/waitresses were very nice, but if there is a manager who manages like this, then, I don't want to dine in ever again. I will only...
