Revised Review as of March 2025 – Beef Tongue Dish
Over the course of my last five visits, I consistently ordered the beef tongue dish and encountered the same issue each time. About half of the portion was tender and enjoyable, but the other half was so tough it was nearly impossible to chew. This wasn’t a one-off problem—it happened every single time.
I tried to address the concern with the waitress, hoping for some insight or resolution. Her explanation—that some pieces are cooked longer than others—was unhelpful and didn’t inspire confidence that the issue would be addressed.
After five consecutive visits with no improvement, I’ve decided not to return. It’s unfortunate, as this dish used to be a highlight, but the lack of consistency and accountability has made it a disappointment I can no longer overlook or recommend.
A Mixed Bag with Outstanding Dishes
This Hong Kong-style café has its ups and downs, but it's worth visiting for its standout dishes. On the positive side, their baked Portuguese chicken, baked beef tongue, bolognese with spaghetti, pork cutlet and fries, and chicken leg and fries are exceptional. These dishes outshine similar offerings at other Hong Kong Chinese cafés, making this place a hidden gem for fans of hearty, flavorful meals.

One notable downside is the noise level. The two waitresses and the cashier lady can be quite loud when chatting about their lives, which I could hear clearly even from the other side of the restaurant. While some may find it endearing, it can detract from the dining atmosphere.
If you’re in it for the food and can overlook the noise, this café’s baked dishes and fried classics are absolutely worth a visit. Skip the noodle soup, and you’ll likely...

This review is really a 3.5 star rating.
Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night.
The restaurant is clean and spacious an they did check for proof of double vaccination. 2 single stall washrooms.
They do not use QR code menu ordering, still on paper menus. The menus were clear and simple. For combos you can choose to get a discounted drink or not. (Ie. Hot drink + $1, cold drink +$2)
Rice 33. Boneless Chicken Leg in Signature Sand Ginger Sauce It was not boneless (they tried) The flavour and texture was good The portion was good I would prefer the pieces to be cut a bit smaller It was okay, would order again
Overall I'll come back to try other dishes and afternoon tea again to be fair. But this place definitely...
