Whenever I travel to Vancouver, this bakery is a must-visit. They specialize in genuinely low-sugar, low-oil baked goods, which is something I really appreciate. So many places claim to be “low sugar” but still use Western standards, meaning the sugar content is only slightly reduced. This bakery, however, feels like they use only 5% of the sugar compared to other “low sugar” shops that still taste like 50% of the usual sweetness. It’s rare to find a place that actually prioritizes health while keeping flavors natural and high quality.
My absolute favorite is the Taro Osmanthus Pretzel—the bun is softer than a typical pretzel, and the taro paste is smooth and earthy. I do wish there was more osmanthus flavor and a bit more cream cheese, but the quality of the ingredients makes it stand out.
The Matcha & Pistachio Soft Bread was incredible—fluffy, pillowy-soft, and the pistachio filling was rich and nutty without any artificial sweetness. It’s one of those treats that feel indulgent yet clean, letting the real flavors shine without sugar masking them.
The Pistachio Pretzel had a great crunch (I may have overheated it a little), but the pistachio flavor was well-balanced.
I also tried the Oreo Bun, and I was shocked—it was actually low sugar. Not just “low sugar” by Western standards, but truly light on sweetness while still tasting indulgent.
The only one I didn’t love was the Matcha Mung Bean Pretzel—the matcha flavor was on the milder side, and the mung bean wasn’t as pronounced as I expected.
Beyond the incredible pastries, I also have to mention the amazing service. The store assistants were incredibly friendly and patient, taking the time to explain everything and let me decide without any rush. It made the whole experience even better, and I really appreciated their kindness.
Overall, this bakery is a rare gem for those looking for high-quality, thoughtfully made pastries that don’t rely on sugar and excessive oil. They’re truly offering something valuable to the community—healthy yet delicious bread options made with care. If you’re in Vancouver and appreciate real low-sugar baked goods, this is a place you can trust....
