Choo Tea — Restaurant in Richmond

There was a line up of 5 people before us but the staff tried her best to take orders / dispatch drinks as quickly as she could 👍🏻 Their menu is very diverse: tea, milk tea, fruit tea, milkis and purple rice, cheese foam, and lots of add-on available. Saw many people got their Oreo and grilled yam tea drinks.

I’m not a milk tea person … so when I noticed milkis rice drink on their offerings, I decided to give it a go. I asked to have “No Ice, No Sugar” . Staff advices the temperature of the rice milkis drink can’t be customised & that the drink may be on the sour side and not as tasty (great advice!) so the final product was in regular coldness and no sugar.

Before I knew it, I finished the entire drink which might be 450ml!

The mild and subtle sweetness in the blend-in crushed purple rice was of a slightly chewy texture, not hard to swallow at all. I would say if there was a little sugar added, it would be even nicer in taste, but I really did not mind having the drink in its most original state. The coldness is ok, as I had a warm meal just before drink it. It doesn’t feel too cold.

It’s actually a zero if this is a option, their quality of drinks are bad, their milk probably expired or something and still serve it to the customer, soon as we finished their brown sugar pearl with milk we had diarrhea and stomach pain, we also drank out a piece of some kind of cardboard from their drink, also the paint of the sealing wrap slowly comes off then stick on your straw and make it in the drink, it’s absolutely disgusting. Their customers service are awful, definitely need more training on understanding what the customer are asking for, even with the mic the server still didn’t hear what I asked for and just randomly picked a drink for me and I asked her which drink is that, she just continue with the next question, did not bother to answer any questions, it’s ridiculous, don’t go to...

Visited on Nov 11th noon, no wait. Ordered milk tea with tofu, half sugar. I got recommended by friend for this place and this drink. Not much surprised. Milk tea tastes very mild to me, not until I almost finished the milk tea I realized the tofu soaked with flavour isn't bad. When I received the drink, it's not sealed properly and leaked. I asked the girl to reseal it for me and she did. Overall, add 1 star for friend recommended, 1 star for resealing the cup for me. Would have given 5 stars for the service if they remake a new one ( I haven't inserted the straw yet), instead of the girl trying hard over the sink to unseal while another girl washing instruments in...
