This was our first time ordering from this pizza establishment (after 6 years from ordering from Round Table "RT" in Richmond). They really had a chance to win us over given the other reviews on here. Was actually hoping for a successful experience as few pizza places offer extra large pizzas. However, this place failed for multiple reasons. 1. for the price (more expensive than RT for the same size pizza), very skimpy on toppings (pictures listed on their menu full of toppings don't actually compare to what you end up getting). 2. Very THIN crust. Some people may like it this way and maybe it's great right out of the oven, but for delivery...not a great idea. Once toppings have been allowed to sit for any length of time, the dough gets to be a soggy mess. Pick up a slice and the wedge goes limp and topping are all over the floor. 3. Lastly, and probably the most irritating, is delivery service. After placing clear and simple instructions regarding the intercom (in 3 different spots on our online order, see picture below and judge for yourself...not rocket science) to our building the delivery guy could not understand. He called by mobile and even with walking through...still could not understand the simple instructions, Minimum wage, minimum service I suppose. I guess we're back to "RT". Sad...was really hoping for a great pizza place as it is close by and could be a great stop off place to grab dinner on the way home...
Read moreThis place is so good, it puts other pizza places to shame! They make great thin crust pizza, which isn't too thin, but isn't too thick either, it's perfectly crispy and chewy! The dough is made perfectly, the ingredients used and the perfect raise will make professional bakers proud, Cobb's bread step aside! The toppings are fresh, perfectly proportioned, and cheese is top notch. Everything is baked to perfection in the Neopoliton style oven. When you think this is over the top already, great service and the competitive pricing once again blow you away! This place is #1 in my books. They also throw in a ranch dip in the box, and provide Chili Peppers and Parmeason for you to freely spread all over your pizza to your heart's content. Try this place out, enjoy the pizza, and come back to great customer service and good pizza everytime. My advice, always with pizza, enjoy fresh, and don't let it get cold on the long drive home, otherwise you'll be missing out on the greatness. (Eat one piece at the store, and drive the rest home if you must, this will allow you to enjoy the pizza at it's...
Read moreRomilano's pizza is a thin crust style pizza, I recommend ordering a whole pie if you want a guaranteed fresh pizza, it's much much better fresh out of the oven. People go in for a slice and are disappointed that its not fresh, well... this area of richmond is primarily dominated by Asian food and this pizza place is in a dark corner under a skytrain station and you cant even notice it if you are driving by... they don't get a lot of people in to turn over slices, which is why their slices are often stale, and sometimes they don't heat it up enough in the oven. That being said, if we are talking about whole pizzas and not slices, This is definitely the best pizza in Richmond by far. They use quality Caputo 00 flour and a good quality mozzarella. I like Pepperoni pizzas and their pepperoni is really good, it has good flavor and it cups up like it should after baking. The only area they need a bit of improving is their tomato sauce, they either don't put enough on or its too thick of a sauce. This style of pizza needs a very thin sauce to complement it. If they improved their sauce I would give it a 4.5...
