The food was very good. The 1 star is for the TERRIBLE service we just had by a lady who served us. She barely understood what we were trying to order and she was so unbelievable rude to us. She obviously did not want to serve us and made it a point. So trying to not get on her bad side I got up to ask for more water, another soda, and some salt. When it came to pay my ticket I got up and went to pay at the counter to not bother asking her to bring it, and she was asking that I HAD to forcecibily pay additional tips for her even after she had been a terrible waitress. I'm a server and always pay 20% or more cause I know how it is but would never try to force anyone in paying tips after offering a terrible service. I'm sorry but she was so rude it was...

We ended up going to this place after finding out HK BBQ Masters was out of roast pork for the evening. Hunan Kitchen is just right beside it and decided to give it a try. Food was not great and was not bad either. I want to leave a review for the service tho. Service was great, one of our dishes had hair in it and quickly called the server. Without hesitation, took the dish away and said didn’t have to pay for it and got us some to choose another item on the menu. Typically, there would be a discussion before resolving the issue. I stumbled upon this place after a long day of walking in the rain (downtown Vancouver to Richmond) . I thought my experience was a little odd; until I started reading the other reviews.
