THIS PLACE HAS NO REGARD FOR HYGIENE AND FOOD SAFTEY. IF THIS IS HOW THEY ARE IN THE FRONT JUST THINK HOW THEY ARE WHEN THEY PREPARE YOUR FOOD. SO IF I WERE YOU JUST AVOID THIS PLACE AND GO TO A DIFFERENT BUBBLE WAFFLE LOCATION. BUT IF THIS IS HOW THE OWNERS OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT TRAIN THEIR STAFF I DONT THINK THE OTHER PLACES HAVE THE SAME SAFTEY STANDARD.
I was just here August 26th at around 6:15pm to order a couple of the cheesecake bubble waffles for my kids. I always come here every time I'm In Lansdowne Mall but after today I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION.
I watch this worker, wearing gloves, change the garbage, come back with the same gloves on and put a new garbage bag in the garbage bin and THEN PROCEEDED TO TOUCH THE WAFFLES. Not ONCE did she go change into new gloves. I kindly asked her if she changed her gloves because she changed the garbage. Both her and another coworker were adamant that they wash their hands prior to touching the food. This is when I got a little annoyed and told them that I was just standing there and saw everything AND regardless that they wash their hands, the other girl still TOUCHED THE GARBAGE BIN and changed the garbage with the same gloves on. It doesn't matter if their hands inside the gloves are clean, its the OUTSIDE is DIRTY AND THEY PROCEED TO TOUCH THE WAFFLES THAT I WAS GOING TO GIVE TO MY KIDS.
SO I told them to please change her gloves before touching the waffles. These 2 workers had the audacity to give me attitude and were talking in their language. Mandarin or Cantonese, im not sure but it annoyed me even more. And what ticked me off was they STILL GAVE ME THE WAFFLE THE GIRL WITH THE DIRTY GLOVES HAD TOUCHED. I told them im not taking that and I want a new one and I asked them to talk to their manager. They didn't say anything. They also took their time to giving me the other waffle. The timer was beeping for a good minute. And low and behold that waffle was overcooked.
Yea, never again at this location. If the owner or managers even read this, you better get it together because I already reported this location to the Health...

We still didn't know what food to eat, so we tried for the FIRST TIME at Bubble Waffle Cafe. I was already kinda disappointed because of the waiting time, but as long as the food is ok, there won't be any problem. While waiting on the side, I tried to ask the guy, how he calls the food on the tray. He said, it was for a staff food. To my surprise, he started to eat at the frontline infront of customers waiting and serving customers once in a while. He must have been told by the management that he's supposed to eat food at the back anyways there were 3 servers at the front. Then a customer was served for her order, I asked again how he calls the ordered food. With a loud voice, he said that he didn't know what she ordered and I had to check the paper on the countertop what I wanted to have in the soup. I said I am not familiar how one orders for it. He could have explained it NICELY with a gentle voice to show a good customer service. So I said, that would be the FIRST and LAST TIME that I will be buying from them since I didn't like that guy's attitude towards me. Lastly, before the food were even served to us, they kept chatting to one another in their language. It was only when I asked that our food was already on the tray and immediately asked for the iced lemon tea that's with the combo that he remembered preparing for the drink. They should understand that when someone orders for food, it should immediately be served. They were all 100% not attentive...
Read moreI thought all the bubble waffle cafe were the same but now I know that only the Bubble Waffle Cafe in Metrotown is the best(more flavourful, portion is way more & even the people are friendlier)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Landsdowne bubble waffle cafe is more pricey & even the portion-wise is awful. Usually when we eat the noodle soup, we are full but this time we are still hungry??!! They cheap-out by cutting the meat so thin, great for my 3 year old but for an adult it’s hilarious. If you ask for an extra bowl for sharing with your child it cost an extra 25 cent. It’s not about the money, it’s the service too. I have never had to pay for a bowl at Metrotown or extra for a drink in a combo…?!! Oh yeah, the bubble waffle…not so great. It’s flat & looks like they cheap out on the portion by using less batter. Don’t eat here if you like Bubble Waffle- go to the Metrotown location…I will not be eating here at this location...
