Service
Went to their store today to get some sweets and bought a lot of those and later came to know that they also have dine in for food. The guy at the counter did not greet with a hi hello or anything kept asking "what do you want?"
Later we ordered 1 chicken biriyani some garlic and butter naan with some chilli chicken and dal turka. Asked for some recommendations to the waitress who also didn't greet us neither gave no recommendations. Later came with three glass of water and the cups were dirty and old. She gave us three plates and some spoons and surprisingly all three plates were dirty and oil drops on them. Asked her how many pieces of naan comes in one order and she said 4 peices we thought it would be enough and ordered two of those and we ended up getting only 2 pieces for each and decided to call her and ask why she said 4 peices at first and she said she worked in another branch of the same store and she didn't know much about it.
While we were eating some girl entered and the staff started giggling and laughing soo sound and talking soo loud made it awkward for my family and myself to dine peacefully..
Food
The food is below average, tasted vague and blank, no appetising presentation.
Restaurant setting
The restaurant atmosphere was very peaceful, yet the furnishings were too old and the tissue box on the table was also dusty inside. Washroom had no paper towel or soap dispenser, the hand drier also didn't work.
Floor was clean and free from debris
The waitress had no gloves while cleaning other tables and used no gloves to serve food.
They had high chairs hence it is kid friendly and seemed to have wheel chair accessibility.
--- I would personally not visit the store again and neither would I suggest it to my friends or family ---
I would say take-out would be comparatively better option than dine in. As it would help to avoid getting dirty dishes, utensils and...
Read moreI ordered a box of sweets here, I loved them. There are no Indian restaurants where I live, so I am always excited to get the chance.
We took a while to look at the counter and they had an array of marvelous sweets. I don't know a lot of their names but I've had them before at other places and I know they're good. They are mostly milk or flour based confections, with different flavors. The girl serving us was patient, and kind, and let us pick the ones that we wanted, just by pointing/description since again we didnt know 🤣 There is a menu that shows the price of the sweets by weight.
They also have a dine in menu with lots of delicious sounding dishes but we weren't looking for a meal at the time so we just got the sweets box.
The sweets are a delight and unfortunately they didn't last too long!!! They have a delicious consistency of fudge but without the overly sweet yuckiness that you get. They are still nice and sweet, and moist, just a very pleasant flavor and texture all around.
So overall, with the quality of the food and the very nice service,...
Read moreI would not recomment this place to anyone. I go to Surrey to buy my indian sweets, so do all my relatives. This restaurant is the only Indian restaurant in Richmond around the cambie area, so there isn't much competition. The location is good. Unfortunately, the price is very expensive and the sweets don't seem to be made fresh. The employees/owners are friendly, good service. Poor decor - very simple, they could do better. The only reason I am not recommending this place is b/c of the sweets - very gross. I did tell the owner and I hope he will do something to make them better, especially for the price he is charging for them. The only place I recommend is Aggarwal Sweets located 128th food/sweets like a...
