We had such a delightful time here yesterday! It was the first very sunny weekend of spring, and Steveston was very busy as to be expected. We walked around and managed to grab a table on the patio right away here. We were quoted 30 minutes at other places, no one’s fault on their part being just but just shows how being a little more remote helps with getting a table. We had two kids in toe ( A three-year-old and a two-month-old in a stroller) and our beagle, and it was totally comfortable and accommodating. They have a great kids menu with an activity/colouring in sheet with pencil crayons. Our server was lovely - super friendly and attentive. All service staff were kind, relaxed, and very prompt. The view was wonderful, very hard to beat. Food was really good too, we shared a large salad and the steak and it was all super yummy and well-made. Cocktails are great too, we ordered the kids fish and chips and it was delish. Dogs are allowed on the inside part of the patio, so you don’t have to tie them up on the busy boardwalk side like other places, even though the boardwalk is not busy here. We also asked for some water for our dog, and they had a designated water dish - so very dog accommodating. Sometimes taking the whole family to dine out is a lot of work and there are not alot of good options that are dog friendly, kid friendly with a water view patio. This felt far more relaxing than other dining experiences we’ve had, patio or not, it seemed everything is very well managed. It feels like we found a little treasure, will definitely be back...
Read moreWe spent Family Day at Kove Kitchen, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the amazing atmosphere. Located right next to the river, this restaurant offers a beautiful and peaceful view, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal.
Parking was convenient, with both free and paid options available, which made getting there stress-free. Since spring was just around the corner, the restaurant was quite busy, but that didn’t affect the quality of the service or the food.
We ordered a variety of dishes, including cocktails, chicken, and fish, and everything was delicious! The flavors were well-balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was spot-on. Every bite was a treat, and we could tell that a lot of care went into preparing the dishes. The cocktails were also well-crafted and refreshing, adding to the overall experience.
One of the biggest highlights of our visit was the service. A special shoutout to the wonderful lady who took care of us—though I didn’t catch her name, she was the eldest staff member and had the warmest, most welcoming smile. She checked on us frequently, always ensuring we had everything we needed, and her positive energy made our experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Kove Kitchen is a must-visit if you’re in Richmond, BC. Whether you’re looking for great food, stunning views, or top-notch service, this place has it all. Highly recommended, and we’ll...
Read moreI was at Kove Kitchen some days ago and had an interesting experience. I ordered a bottle of san Pellegrino, coffee, and an entire meal. I sat on the patio and enjoyed the 28 degree sunshine, enjoying the conversations with nearby tables and my meal. I was there for about an hour. As I asked for a refill of coffee, and poured another glass of sparkling water, another waitress came over to me and said what I was wearing was inappropriate (a bikini top and sweat shorts, with shoes) and that I would need to cover up with a blanket. I was completely thrown off. I had just sat there for an hour with no problem until I had finished ordering $50 worth of food and drink. I requested my bill and left. I have no problem not being served based on an outfit, however to have sat down for over an hour to then being asked to leave after ordering and completing an entire meal was ridiculous. The server that asked this was not from here. She was here for school from what I heard. She gave me a terrible look when she saw me use the restroom and proceeded to tell me to...
