Deserves a 0 star. My mother and I ate at A&W McAllister Place in Saint John NB today. It was absolutely vile! I waited in the queue for an exceptionally long time. When I got to the till I was given a list of items that were not available.. onions, onion rings, ketchup, seeded buns, and so on. I placed our order and had to wait what seemed 20 minutes or longer. All of the food was tepid. The fries were more than overcooked... they were at the point that they were hollow and greasy. The Poutine was extremely unpleasant. It was made with the overcooked fries and stone cold. Our burgers too were cold and the meat was anemic and almost seemed to be poached? The burgers were revolting! If it wasn't for the queue to return the food I would have. It all went in the bin. It was appalling, unacceptable and a complete waste of my money and time. Unbelievable! $26 down the drain!! We went elsewhere and had to pay again....

If you find yourself in the McAllister Mall like I did on June 17th at 2pm looking for lunch. Head over to A&W- you won't be disappointed. The food was lovely and hit the spot. I tried the new chicken burger ! 🍔
What made the experience truly lovely was the gentleman who served me. Extremely diligent and VERY good at his job. Management should be proud of him and have definitely placed him well based on his skill set on cash. He was directing a busy line up- no phased or stressed- calm and collected.
He even complimented the back end staff regarding how quick they will be preparing my meal. He let me know while I waited how long until my food would be ready.
If I were an area manager for A&W - I would have this guy training other...

Girl at the counter spent so much time leaning over the counter and chatting to her boyfriend repeatedly that the food was lukewarm. Took a few minutes to get her to realise that someone was actually standing at the counter wanting to place an order. I usually go to the other location but decided since I was already in the mall I’d go here. I love A & W but please, hire people that don’t chat with their friends/boyfriends and ignore actual customers. Doesn’t deserve a paycheck and if she’s got time to lean on the counter then she’s got time to clean the place...
