Was in Sherwood Park this morning and while there, decided to stop in and try this place out. Seen their posts on IG and it totally intrigued me. Their location is easy to find and there is adequate parking. Front of their shop is all glass windows and walls, allows the sun to come in and make their space soo bright and feeling bigger then it is. There is seating for about 30+ people inside and a few tables outside so you can sit out there on nice days. Looked over their menu, it's not a lot of options but from my experience; those who have a small menu tend to perfect the items that they do offer. I prefer a smaller menu as well, makes it a little less difficult to choose from. Was greeted warmly by the staff and explained it was my first time at their shop. She helped me find their Americano as it was hidden in the corner of their menu. Decided on the Açai Bowl as I'd seen pictures of it online and it just called my name. Paid for my items and the Americano was ready immediately and it was super hot. Picked a table in the front corner as the sun was shining right on that spot. They offer cute mason jar cups, which you can fill from the water dispenser. Got settled into my spot and I only had to wait maybe 8 minutes for my bowl to be ready to be picked up from the counter. She apologized for it being soo full which is a nice treat when ordering food at any establishment. I'm typically not hungry in the morning and rarely eat in the AM, but the server said it was a light option. But when I looked at the bowl; I was firstly in awe of how beautifully put together it was! Totally looks like the pictures I had seen. And secondly, I was worried it would be too heavy of a meal as I honestly just wasn't all that hungry. But I was plesently surprised at how light it actually was. The base smoothie portion is light, flavorful, not too sweet and cold. As in it was like a frozen smoothie. The contrast of the frozen smoothie with the fresh fruit, cocoa pieces and granola was amazing! Had to pace myself as it was soo good, I wanted to savor it and not scarf it down. The Americano was good too, but my focus was on my bowl and with good reason. While I sat there I saw others come in and they seemed like regulars. They knew what they wanted and did not hesitate when ordering. Believe the server even called one of the customers by name, that made me smile. When I heard the server mention how she loves their waffles, I wanted them try them too! But I was just right and figured I would have to try them the next time...
Read moreWe love this restaurant. The smoothies are a go-to, as well as their avocado toast selection. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
If you've frequented this restaurant in late 2024 or early 2025 you might have noted the rough period of high staff turn-over and declining standards, but as of May 2025, this restaurant is staffed up, energetic, busy, and going strong living up to its reputation. KB & Co is back, baby!!! I was so worried about Kristina during that rough patch. Glad she's back on top!
KB&Co trivia: The franchise has expanded all over the capital region, but this one is the new OG location as the company's namesake (Kristina Botelho) founder runs this one! I'm proud to say that I ate at her first location on 104th street back in 2018.
I took my order to go today and plated it for my wife at home. The Cashew Cream Cheese Avocado Toast has pickled purple onions which make it leap off the plate visually.
The citrus greens salad may look diminutive in the cardboard to-go carton, but when plated it fluffed up to a tall mound which occupied...
Read moreI have been to this location twice now, the most recent being today & I am typically there with a large group varying between about 8-20 ppl. I do believe each time what people ordered to eat & drink was enjoyed and only a couple people commented on the higher price tag. Where the low rating comes from is in customer service. We could not hear very well with all the kitchen noise & then the loud speaker near our table. They wouldn't turn the volume down for us even though, other than our group, there was only 1 other person & they were working on a laptop. They said they couldn't due to franchise rules. So our group is now looking for a new venue to have our Fri get together. So Kb&Co must be doing very very well financially to not care if a large group doesn't come back because we can't carry on a conversion do to the terrible...
