PrimeTime Donair & Poutine — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

When I leave work I order a couple burgers for pickup. Arrived 3 minutes early according to Uber Eats estimated time. I like my food as hot as possible so I don't mind waiting, especially if I'm early. The place doesn't seem busy as there is only one other customer waiting for their order. I Tell the staff I'm there picking up 2 donair smash burgers ordered on Uber Eats. Staff let me know it will be 5 minutes so I take a seat. The bench by the door is comfortable enough and the place seems clean. I wait over 10 minutes before finally getting my food. There isn't anything said about the delay so I just assume they must not use they same time as me, I use my Samsung phone but I know my watch has slowed down by 10 minutes since I bought it almost 20 years ago. I take my food and leave. I live 4 four minutes away according to google maps and by the time I rush inside and sit down to eat, the food is not even warm. I take a couple bites and it's so dry I stop and look at what I was eating. There is supposed to be sweet sauce but maybe the bun soaked it all up, it is kinda soggy after all. Then I see they put an entire slice of red onion on the burger, like way too much, it is the only thing I taste from the two bites. The meat is dry, especially the donair meat, like it was cooked in the morning and sat drying in a container all day. A single tomato slice and on one burger it's the end piece of the tomato, not impressed. Even with the promotional offer of two for one I don't think it was worth it but I will try it again, eventually, but I could say the same for McDonalds.

I love food but stopped eating just to write this review. That only happens in two scenarios. One is when the food so good I need to tell the world while I savor it. The second is when I'm so disappointed that I'd rather complain than eat the food at...

Looking for lunch for the family and we were in the Sherwood area while visiting the pool. All together we spent over $60. The restaurant was clean and good to dine in and the lady working was great, I got a bold bbq beef my partner got a butter chicken with chicken both got large donars. Portion was great for the price. The meat was not appealing at all for either donars. In my experience, Donars usually have shaved meat for the beef and what I got was cut up chunks. Horrible option in my opinion. The flavour was lacking but definitely good portion sizes. The only thing that was good was the chicken nuggets and fries we got for our kid. The other kid got a beef rice box and again the meat wasn’t appealing and the kid wouldn’t eat it, the rice was fine nothing fancy. Also got the onion rings they were like the thing McCains ones, not our preference but the one kid ate them. 1/5 for the service and chicken&fries. Definitely wouldn’t go back wasn’t happy about the price paid for the food we got. Won’t go...

I'm not from Sherwood Park but work in the area. I've been trying different Donair shops in the area and we'll, today was PrimeTime.

I have to say my meal was excellent and service was quick and friendly. I ordered a regular beef Donair with fries and gravy. Gravy was hot, thickness was good and flavours were on point. Fries lacked seasoning but with the gravy it was a mute point.

The Donair itself came in a moist shell that was filled with nothing but good flavours. The only thing I'll critique (which is a personal preference) is the Donair meat was chopped up into smaller chunks. I prefer them to be in longer trips as this helps the Donair hold together better. But all in all, I don't have any reasons to not come here again. 4 stars out...
