Kiran and I recently had the pleasure of working with Riaz and the staff at Chutney providing catering for several wedding events, and I highly recommend their team and catering services! The food, setup, and service were exceptional, and they treated us like family.
Riaz was fantastic to work with. He worked with us to develop a menu and presentation tailored to our events and preferences with a wide selection of dishes. He was extremely responsive and easy to work with and was personally at each event making sure our guests were enjoying themselves and his food.
The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests had much praise for all the food at each of the three events! The menu contained mostly authentic desi food, but Chutney was very helpful with infusing select western menu items to satisfy all guests and dietary restrictions. Each dish tasted just as we had sampled in the restaurant and the presentation was great.
The staff from Chutney were professional, friendly, and attentive. They arrived on time each event and made set ups easy. They ensured everything ran smoothly, even assisting with bussing and water refills making our guests feel catered to.
We feel that our money was well spent with Chutney and that they provided incredible value for the quality and quantity of food we received, as well as the services provided throughout. Overall, Riaz and his staff at Chutney made our wedding events truly memorable. If you’re looking for a catering service that combines delicious Pakistani cuisine with exceptional service, Chutney is the place for you.
Thank you Riaz and team for making our celebration so...
Read moreI had high hopes as this is in vicinity to Little India and a few Indian-Pakistani grocery stores, frankly all the shops in this block cater to east Indian thus an bustling location for any Indo Pak eatery. Good choose Chutney location per sae.
Since this joint opened couple of months ago we thought of first trying a few Samosas which are basic snacks available at any east Indian restaurant/dinner. IMO Samosas are best way to access how serious an establishment takes it's patrons, Samosas are easy to prepare, a volume snacks which is sold a plenty and often freshely prepared upon ordering (at least, that's what I hope) With Chutney we hoped the same. However, the Samosas were long way from being appetizing.
Firstly, it was burnt, shell was soaked in oil, the oil used seemed to be used a typical unpleasant odor (read: OLD OIL used multiple time feels dark and viscous, and is high on BAD cholesterol)
Owner's seriousness can also be judjed by the sheer amount of cigrate buds left near the entrance, entire area outside and the sitting area within was dark.... Everything here screems NEGLECT.
Conclusion: Sorry, I won't recommend...
Read moreWe found ourselves here as part of our own butter chicken odyssey where we trying to find the best butter chicken in town. We follow in the footsteps of Ramneek and are going to his top choices and so far chutney is tied for first place in our books. The butter chicken is near perfect. Delicious gravy. Tender chicken. Paired with some coconut rice and garlic naan and it was a great butter chicken experience. We were served by Riaz who treated us like gold and was very happy to see someone from Ramneek's recommendations and really took care of us. He suggested the tawa chicken as well and that was maybe as good as the butter chicken. On a hot skillet with delicious flavours. Highly recommend. Riaz even hooked us up with some unique sweets as we left. Prices were reasonable. Service was great. Food was awesome. The decor is a little dated but it's still...
