Date of visit: June 20, 2022
We experienced several popular Thai dishes as well as an assortment of different Thai drinks along with a caring staff.
I visited for supper time with my wife and two girls. We were delighted by the authentic Thai dishes as well as the environment. The spices and flavors were extremely impressive, almost as if we were eating at a restaurant in downtown Bangkok.
The service and care was great, but I felt that the ratio of red and green peppers were a bit too much in a couple of the dishes.
When we arrived at 6:00 p.m., we were greeted by a wonderful server, her name was (Pae) and she seated us right away. We hadn't made a reservation, but the restaurant was only half full at the time. I do feel though that calling ahead and booking a table might be a good idea for future visits. As the word gets out about the amazing food and Thai experience I feel that this restaurant well be quite busy at peak times.
We ordered several different Thai dishes, it ended up that our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Some of our favorites were Moo Ping (Pork on a stick with sticky rice), Kow Kai Jeeo (Thai omelet with pieces of pork), Penang Moo (Red curry with pork), Khao Man Gai (Chicken with seasoned rice as well as Chicken Satay with peanut sauce (This chicken was really moist).
After we were seated we were served by several waiters all with different responsibilities. Pae took our initial order and Paka took our drink order and then Sean was helping bring out the buffet of food we had ordered. We had tried several different authentic Thai drinks but there was two that really stood out. One was the Thai orange tea and the second was the Lemongrass Iced Tea. Now this one was amazing, and very refreshing, as I truly am not a fan of lemongrass but this drink was delicious and not too sweet. I ended up ordering a second one it was so good.
Our girls also enjoyed the food and we could not get them to stop eating the sticky rice. A huge hit for them along with the Thai omelet and Moo Ping. After we had eaten as much as we could we could not help but notice the large cooler up front displaying several different Thai deserts that are all made in house by Pae. We ended up choosing a few of the mix berry custards, I have to say they were really good. Afterword’s we had a conversation with some of them and found out that Thai Corner is a family owned and run business. And all of the people working in the restaurant were brothers and sisters. They gave us a peek in the back and I was able to meet the main cook Songrit as he was running the grill and I was really impressed at how clean and organized the kitchen was. It was very professional.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience. The food was prepared very well and brought out in a timely manner. The dishes were not overly priced and the quality and flavor was top notch. It is hard to find good authentic Thai food and to have access to Thai Corner that is a family owned restaurant with actual Thai cooks is truly a gem.
We’d recommend it as a nice place to go with friends, family, or a partner, it was a very nice experience. Do try their Lemongrass Iced Tea and any of the dishes they offer. I am sure you will...
Read moreHere’s a brief review of the three dishes from Thai Corner:
Thai Curry: The curry typically bursts with rich, bold flavors from spices like lemongrass, ginger, and chili. If it’s a green or red curry, the heat can vary, but there’s usually a nice balance between spice and creamy coconut milk. The inclusion of vegetables and protein (often chicken, beef, or tofu) makes it hearty. The curry is satisfying, though sometimes the spice levels might be too intense for those not accustomed to Thai heat. Coconut Milk Soup (Tom Kha Gai): This soup is a delicate balance between sweet, savory, and slightly sour. The coconut milk adds a creamy richness, while lemongrass, galangal, and lime leaves provide a refreshing, aromatic flavor. The chicken is usually tender, and there’s often a burst of brightness from the lime juice and a hint of heat from the chilies. Overall, it’s light yet comforting. Chicken Rice (Khao Man Gai): A Thai take on the classic chicken and rice dish. The chicken is typically poached to perfection, juicy and tender, and served over fragrant jasmine rice cooked in chicken broth. The dipping sauce, often made with ginger, garlic, and soy sauce, brings a tangy and savory kick that complements the simplicity of the dish. It’s less intense in flavor compared to the curry, but still delicious for those who prefer milder tastes.
Overall, Thai Corner offers well-executed dishes with authentic flavors. Each item stands out on its own while delivering the classic combination of sweet, savory, and spicy that Thai cuisine...

We got two lunch specials, the green Thai curry and the pad Thai, and we were stuffed. It came with a tom yum soup with mushrooms and a slice of tomato in it (which was like a hot and sour and tangy soup), as well as two spring rolls. We both loved the spring rolls, they were perfectly done and hot from the fryer. Then the main dishes came... Both were large portions, and delicious.
I have tried green curry from a number of restaurants, and this one was great (especially for the price)—lots of different veggies included, great sauce, lots of chicken. I mixed it into the coconut rice. I wish I lived closer so that I could visit more often for this curry.
I did also try the "pink milk" (I forget the Thai name), which is milk with a Thai fruit syrup. I found it tasted like a bubblegum strawberry milk, pretty interesting!
They offer quite a few options here, I'll try to branch out from my usual order the next time I visit. Maybe order dessert here too next time, since I was too full from this visit! The crepe cake slice looked really good, as did the Thai milk tea cake.
If you want to order cakes, they sell their dessert cakes as a whole if you...
