My first and last time going to Tiffin's. For the amount of money we spent that afternoon, we could have gone to a fancy restaurant and had an amazing meal including an expensive bottle of wine. There was no flavour in any of the rice, all the curries we bought didn't taste anything of currie but just tomatoes and honey. Everything was flavour of tomatoes and honey, "E-VERRRR-EEEEE-THIING". The Naan's were doughy, rubbery and flavourless, the goat currie was sweet and tomatoey as was ( what the cashier said was butter chicken)the butter chicken and all the other curries we bought, the coconut rice had no flavour as well as the yellow coloured rice and I could go on about how bad the food was but we ended up throwing it all away cause it was unedible. The only thing we could eat was the bujias which were also sweet and not much spice, but had some flavour. Also what disappointed us was that there was ssssoooooo much sauce and no actual meat in the curries. All the meat was non existent in all the curries, received about 3 peices for all the meat in each one. The veggie samosas had no flavour and just something mushed as the filling, the meat samosas had some flavour but looked like minced meat inside and both were super, super, ssuuuppppeerrr salty and extra, extra greasy. I bought half a dozen and it was a waste cause they were so salty that we couldn't eat them. Not sure how you can call this "authentic" Indian food. I've been eating Indian food my whole life( MY WHOLE LIFE!!) and this is not anything close to "authentic". All the containers leaked out by the time we got home which was a total disappointment cause I feel that if you're going charge the prices you do, then more secure and better containers need to be used. I like to give zero stars, but I gave 1 star cause the cashier was super nice, but I will never go to Tiffin's again. The food was disgusting, overpriced for what they sell and totally nothing "authentic" about it. What baffles me is that there are so many reviews of how fabulous Tiffin's food is-- have you never eaten anywhere...
Read moreMy wife and I just ate at this restaurant. Our favourite ethnic dish is Indian cuisine and have had the opportunity to indulge at many restaurants in the past. We have to say that Tiffin (India’s Fresh Kitchen) is by far the best in the city hands down. The quality and quantity is unrivalled for the price you pay for each dish. Finally a place that isn’t afraid to put spice back into “authentic Indian cuisine”. Too often restaurants say it’s authentic, but have become too westernized for the general public. We also want to mention that the service from staff showed genuine care for their customers. Well done Tiffin!
If you’re a fan of Indian food, this is the place to go to!

While the review above was warranted at that time of purchase and consumption (newly opened), my wife and I ate here last week and was completely disappointed for a couple reasons. It has been awhile since we ate there and decided it would be time to have it again. Upon looking at the board to order, I noticed a major price difference. What would once cost me $55.00, it has now emptied my wallet a full $86.00. Now I understand the inflation costs and Covid, so upping the price to keep the business afloat makes sense. However, I feel the quality and quantity of the food has significantly decreased. The food tasted bland, no longer as spicy as it once was nor did it have the intense flavour of all the ingredients in the dishes. To further my disappointment was the amount of food I got in the containers. It was almost all sauce! And why is it almost $10 for rice? Extremely disappointed and for these reasons, I am retracting my 5 star...
Read moreI’ve visited Tiffin a couple of times now and everytime I am there, it’s such a great experience. The food is not only delicious and fresh, but the staff are always so friendly and accommodating, and always happy to make suggestions on the food and thoroughly describe each dish. Oh, and the chai is amazing!
When I recently hosted a family dinner for 12 at home, I wanted to have it catered instead of cooking all day — I immediately thought of Tiffin! Indian food is just a great option for catering as it’s not super time-sensitive and can travel well and can easily be reheated if needed. After some very prompt and efficient emails back and forth with Joti at the restaurant, I had my dinner all set and organized. Joti kindly assisted me with suggestions on how much to order and thankfully also arranged for the delivery of the food to my home, which was extremely appreciated.
I was really impressed with how well the food was packaged and delivered — very professional, everything was clearly labeled and still piping hot when it arrived! We had ordered butter chicken, massamum beef curry, coconut vegetable curry, coconut rice, samosas, fish pakoras, naan and coconut rice pudding for dessert — all of which were absolutely delicious. I love that they included some nice garnishes of scallion, cilantro and ginger as well.
The family loved all the food with many going back for seconds and thirds, and enough leftovers for them to take home a doggie bag too. Even those who don’t generally like rice pudding loved the dessert
We were extremely happy with the option to have the food catered to our home, such a great option for a large group! Thank...
