Bella Noella's — Restaurant in St. Catharines

Pre-pandemic I had 2 large (+$125 - $150) orders for take out for family parties.

The first order they took over the phone, even though they were supposed to be closed (thank you guys for that) but every pie was badly burned. I should have checked in the restaurant, but there was like 6 or 7 pizzas and I was alone and struggling with them. Decided to give them another chance with another large order for another family party. This time the crust was so dry and tough, my guests were leaving half eaten pieces of pizza on their plate. I threw away so many half-eaten pieces. I was embarrassed because I had big upped Bella's as this local, non-chain pizzeria that everyone was going to love. I'm not sure what happened but the crust was tough and lifeless like they forgot to actually throw it in the oven. As far as the taste goes, well someone ran off with the flavour.

There has to be a reason beyond our poor pizzas that might indicate why at rush hour on a Sunday there was nobody there.

In the mean time we'll buy a pizza oven or may just use the BBQ and make our own as it's hard to justify the cost and disappointment.

One thing that restaurants have to keep in mind is that people can make enough lousy meals on their own dime. But to pay someone to do that at considerable expense, plus the time to place and pick-up the order, just won't cut it.

I hope they solve their issues and get back to where they once were as far as quality...

This place was another great discovery in my food adventure in the last few weeks. Highly recommended while in St.Catherines!

We ordered:

• Large Pepperoni Pizza. 10/10! The crust was definitely 20/10! Thin crust, crispy and downright incredible! The sauce reminded me of the pizzas we had in Naples a few years ago and it was simply amazing! I’d eat that everyday!
• Nachos. 8/10! While it was great and very reasonably priced, they were just nachos.
• Chicke Wings. 9/10! Cooked to my liking and would definitely go well with a nice pint of cold beer.

The service was very quick and the gent that served us was very attentive.
